crafting ang crafting ang home design team work disclaimer sunday 1 april 2018 oddball art co dt messy and sketchy atcs hi everyone wow so it has been a little while since i last posted i ve been very busy with my little one going back to work and doing studying finally i have a little time to get creative and do crafty things i m back with the oddball art co dt and hosting the artist trading card atc swop over on facebook the theme for this months challenge and atc swops is messy and sketchy you can interpret this anyway you would like i have gone with some messy backgrounds on my cards and added some sketchy drawings here is my first atc using one of the yetis from image no 423 yeti love i have used patterned tissue paper as a base covered with tim holtz distress inks i have embossed the edges with pink powder but it has come out glossy rather than embossed this isn t very clear on the photo either i ve added string and black card with ripped edges to mount the image glitter added to the edges of the black card yeti is coloured with copic markers with glossy accents on her bow this is the first atc i ve made as this is not something i ve needed to do before but i have enjoyed making them mounted on black card here is my second atc using image no 413 baby d abc patterned paper as a base texture paste applied using dylusions stencil tim holtz distress inks to colour i ve then doodled to fit with the sketchy theme dino is coloured in with copic markers using a stippling effect and added onto the top mounted on black card here is my third atc using the skull from image no 247 spooky sue feather patterned paper as a base i ve used texture paste through dylusions stencil i added some feather washi tape to one side but this isn t very prominent i ve stamped over using black ink with a skull rubber stamp i ve had for many many years added blue thread then topped with black card that i distressed the edges of and mounted the skull image on top doodled around the new challenge over at oddball art co is lily of the valley you can interpret this anyway you would like i have gone with a flower theme i m starting my new venture of bullet journalling i like the versatility of drawing your own spreads rather than being stuck with a set diary format i only work 2 1 2 days now so need a diary with enough space to write appointments etc in it with a week to view and that has times listed on all the days so after trying several diaries and not liking them i saw bullet journalling so i have done a diary specific to my needs within a bullet journal i m currently losing weight and would like to document this creatively and so again thought the bullet journal format would work for me so here is one of the spreads i ve done in the bullet journal it will be a weight loss fitness tracker i have used a few different oddball images for this one image no 194 newsprint flower creative planner insert flowers the heart clouds are also an oddball image but i can t my w9 copic tends to suddenly drop ink i ve tried leaving the lid off and it hasn t worked i keep blobbing it on scrap paper to get the ink absorbed however it still does the drop thing it did this on oddball art co dt inspiration time hi everyone time for dt inspiration for oddball art co i have used image no 259 suzy s tushy i ve finally had time to really get messy with my mixed media projects again such a funny image i couldn t wait to use her i ve really tried to mix the acrylics for shading when painting her not quite so successful but it is my first attempt so perhaps more practice is
