crafty gardener crafty gardener about me linda i m a gardener crafter and photographer who loves sharing with everyone stop by my website and see ideas for gardening and crafting recommendations for reading and some delicious recipes view my complete profile may 30 2024 welcome linda welcome i m glad you stopped by for a visit like life this site is a collection of many things i love crafting and i love gardening hence my name was created crafty gardener who in real life is linda now i m retired i have more time to do all the things i love to do and i often wonder how i had time to go to work i ve been sharing my love of gardening and crafting since my site was established in 2004 with my own domain as a gift from my family gardening is just one important part of my life family is the most important part we have been married 50 years have 3 beautiful daughters and handsome son in laws and four wonderful and energetic grandchildren that keep us smiling and young braided coat hangers linda do you remember the old craft of braiding long strips to make a cover for a wire coat hanger the original material was nylotex or phentex a stretchy nylon material i m not available in stores but it does turn up in thrift stores from time to time you could use long strips of material or even extra wide ribbon this has proved to be one of the most popular posts on my site an old craft that is becoming popular again i have a pattern available to print that is my version of a pattern shared with me many years ago on a crafting bulletin board i never knew where the original pattern came from but then a visitor to my site let me know it was originally by qualicraft this is the original pattern even though out of print you can still find the original pattern book for sale you just have to use a search engine to find one the instructions i use were shared by susieq on a crafting bulletin board a long time ago this is not my original pattern but i did adapted the wording a bit to make it more clear i hope you can figure it out if you don t get it the first time keep trying as it does get easier find the full pattern here march 27 2018 craftygardener ca linda many sites are still directing visitors here if i left a comment on your blog it led you here many blogger sites won t let me comment using my actual website so i have this back door to my site all my posts and photos are now at craftygardener ca i d love for you to come for a visit once you get to craftygardener ca use the drop down menus under the header and find what you are looking for you are just a click away to finding braided covered coat hangers crochet covered hangers all season suet seed seedling seedpod info plant profiles garden whimsy think outside no box required home powered by blogger
