creating my everyday creating my everyday thursday march 16 2017 sketch time after a long scrapping hiatus it is always helpful to use sketches to get my creative juices flowing again i saw this dt and sadly i haven t scrapbooked much within that three years but you guessed it i ve missed it greatly i now officially have all three kids in school and i m ready to start carving out my creative time again because if i ve learned anything in the last few years it s that we have to nurture ourselves and with that we need to do the things that speak to our heart having a creative outlet was so valuable for me and it feels so good to get back on the horse so to speak i recently cleared off my scrap table pulled out my supplies and just had at it what a great feeling and this was the end result a layout about chloe and her bestie if anyone is even still getting notifications for this little old blog lol i appreciate you visiting me and i can t wait to check up on what the rest of my will be the first to admit that i have jumped on the whole mustache trend bandwagon i think they re so much fun so when noah brought home mustache straws he had gotten at a birthday party and him and luke decided to test them out of course i couldn t resist snapping some pics this fancy pants swagger line was perfect for my pictures and i had fun getting messy with it i wanted a chevron looking border so i cut the striped paper up and pieced it together and then added some paint to tone down the colors a bit i also stitched one of the die cut mustaches to add some detail i think i need to share to pinterest saturday february 8 2014 a tribute to the beatles so everyone knows the song all you need is love by the beatles right like with most holidays the kids anticipation and excitement of valentine s day definitely rubs off so i took inspiration from the fab four to make a home décor piece i made a collage out of layered pieces of fancy pants trendsetter line love those colors and i added some die cuts tissue paper and other bits and pieces on top of the paper i covered it all in mod podge to give it a shiny glaze and hold it all in place and then i outlined the heart with chevron paper straws i made the phrase out of heidi swapp s new clear letters and an easy and cute home décor canvas was born and since i m on home décor here s a little thanksgiving banner i made yes i realize thanksgiving was now months ago shhh don t tell i love being able to hang things in the house that i ve made myself such a fun way to add a bit of my own personality into a holiday the feather trend here is another layout i did for my guest design team term for jenni bowlin mercantile and it incorporates one of my favorite trends right now feathers the kit came with the awesome jbs die cut feathers and it also had a feather stencil using the stencil i put glue over one of the feather stencils covered it in fine gold glitter and then cut it out to make my own embellishment i then used the stencil whole with all four feathers over a piece of cardstock and i sprayed several different inks on top using a gold spray ink as the base i love getting messy and experimenting with stencils and of course it didn t hurt that chloe had feathers on her shirt to go with the theme did this scrappy mama plan out this photo shoot with this layout in mind hmmmmm neveeeeer here s another layout from the awesome jbs kit love the stamps that came with it too that little airplane stamp gives just the right amount of extra detail hope everyone is enjoying their weekend i m going to see fall i don t know about you guys but i love this time of year there s something so beautiful and magical about the changing colored leaves all around our neighborhood in particular has old huge trees that make it a gorgeous sight at this time of year now raking and bagging all those fallen leaves is another story i think this is my favorite layout i did for my guest design work for jenni bowlin this month this kit was perfect to create fall projects i had a lot of fun cutting into some of the beautiful patterned papers and adding in some leaf stickers and the wooden leaves added the perfect guest designer i m so excited to share with you guys that i m guest designing for jbs this month with the amazing november kit this is the first layout that i created with the kits i used the main kit which you can find here as well as some goodies from the mini album kit and the historian add on kit the monthly kit is packed full of awesome goodies including the new jbs exclusive wood veneer shapes each month the jbs kits will feature a new wood veneer product here s a close up of the wood veneer leaves i just love them also jenni is having a membership special this month that you
