a long while since my last posts worked on my christmas cards from september on and then in all the holiday turmoil forgot to take photos of them before mailing the cards above were made just recently for friends birthdays the last card the one with the heart shaped box of chocolates was made for a friend whose birthday falls right on valentine s day thus the heart shape thank for stopping by hope card and the favorite colors of the recipient were black and gold here is the end result i began by creating the flowers using a heartfelt creations die with which i cut 4 floral images and then layered them to create 2 flowers one large and one small these were cut in black card stock and then embossed with gold ep the swirls were die cut in gold mirror card stock using marianne creatables dies the sentiment was computer generated on white card stock and then die cut using an oval hero arts die the 45 which was die cut in gold mirror card stock using a paper rose die was added to the sentiment the prepared sentiment was then adhered to a spellbinders oval die which was die cut in gold mirror card stock having created all the images and the sentiment these were adhered to a black card stock panel and matted with gold mirror card stock and then adhered to a white base card this completed my project here are the products materials used in this project card stock gkd pure luxury 16 year old young lady hence this was the result the young lady s favorite colors were pink and gold so i attempted to include those colors in my design my first step was to create the blue jean image i didn t have a specific die to make blue jeans so i used a template i found on line and cut them out in denim digital paper i wanted them to look realistic so i added a levi s logo and tag using images i found on line and adjusted these in size next i die cut 3 balloons in pink card stock added strings and a golden bow die cut with which to tie the strings the 16 was then adhered to the balloons in gold mirror card stock the sweet was die cut in gold mirror paper i added a pink label with the young lady s name also in gold mirror card stock all images were positioned and adhered with dimensionals except for the 16 and lauren the white swirly background was from an embossing folder which was layered on pink card stock i added another layer in denim and this was all adhered to a autumn cupcake hello fellow crafters i absolutely love the fall with its hue of colors and crisp air it is my favorite season and i also love to make fall cards this one was made for an old college friend whose birthday falls this month i began with die cutting the cupcake using orange card stock for the cupcake holder brown for the cupcake top and glossy white for the frosting some shading was done on the cupcake holder and the cupcake top the cupcake was then assembled and put aside next the leaves were die cut using several different leaf dies these were all colored with various inks finally the acorn and pumpkin were die cut and colored with inks the base card was prepared in ivory card stock and layered with brown followed by orange card stock the focal panel was die cut in ivory using a punch around the page punch and adhered to the prepared base at this point the elements were positioned and adhered to the card using dimensionals and other adhesives my project was etsy sold by egartscrafts i just loved the autumnal elements on the navy background i felt it would make a lovely fall birthday card my base card was made in white card stock and layered with from a gentleman for a 49th wedding anniversary card for his wife he also added that he would like the card to have purple in it so this is what i went with i prepared the card base in white card stock and layered it with purple an embossed layer in white was then adhered to the purple this was put aside to work on the focal elements heart dies were used to cut out 4 hearts one in white fun foam one in purple vellum one in white card stock and one in clear vellum the sentiment was computer generated on the clear vellum and then die cut the fun foam was adhered to the purple vellum heart and the the white vellum was adhered to the white die cut heart next flowers were die cut in white card stock and then the edges sponged with purple ink the flowers were assembled and branches were added using green card stock the hearts and flowers were then positioned and adhered to the front panel using dimensionals and glue dots this completed this project here are the materials used in card ideas are not always easy to come up with this one took some thought i created the focal point background first by using kraft card stock and scoring the panel every 3 4 inch next i used a memento rich cocoa ink pad and spread the ink over the panel creating a wood like effect the ship s wheel and telescope were die cut in kraft card stock and then sponged with memento rich cocoa ink i used a light gray card stock for the anchor and sponged it with memento gray flannel ink the rope around the anchor was die cut in a grayish white card stock and positioned around the anchor the sea gull was cut in white card stock and copic markers were used to add color to the wings beak and legs metallic gold was used to die cut the porthole and copper brads were added to give it an authentic appearance i didn t have a die for a ring buoy so i used two circle dies to create it and used a copic marker to add the red color the birthday greeting on the buoy was done on my computer the boat scene view from the porthole was a digital image that i found i added a sail boat to the scene which was die cut using white and brown card stock it was time to put it all together i created a base card in white card stock and layered it with brown next a layer of grayish white card stock was added followed by the focal layer the sail boat scene was adhered to the focal panel with adhesive and the sail boat with dimensionals a piece of acetate was added to the back of the porthole and then adhered to the scene using dimensionals all the other die cut elements were positioned and adhered fell this month i absolutely love how it turned out lots of work but well worth it one of my daughter s cats is a tortoiseshell and she has many cardinals around her home hence the cat and cardinal images on the card i began by die cutting all the images that i planned to use in this project using kraft card stock for the barrel wagon wheel and sign post these were die cut and then sponged with brown ink to give all a rustic appearance next the barrel wheel and sign post were assembled adding brown card stock to the barrel and wheel to make them complete gold card stock was used for the chains holding the sign the sentiment was computer generated on white card stock and a pink heart was added before adhering the sentiment to the sign post the flowers and greenery were die cut in various shades of card stock assembled and then positioned over and around the barrel with dimensionals and adhesive a grass border was cut in green card stock the cardinal in red and the cat image in digital paper i had in my stash now it was time to put it all together and create a scene i used white card stock for the base card and layered it with brown card stock i added another layer of pink card stock die cut from a postage stamp frame die finally the white focal panel after sponging the center with pin was adhered to the prepared card base the die cut images were then positioned and adhered to the card using adhesive and dimensionals yellow butterflies wings sponged with brown ink the red cardinal and the cat image were added and the project was complete here are the products 15 2023 summer sunflower birthday hello fellow crafters here is a summer card i created per request from my daughter for an old childhood friend of hers her friend lives in california and has been there for decades after moving from her ohio home i began by creating the focal point elements the sunflower and wheat the sunflower was die cut in yellow card stock and then color was added with copic markers for the centers of the flower i used 2 shades of brown and then added white specs to mimic pollen next the flower s leaves were die cut with green card stock and wheat spikes with pearlescent gold finally the twig wreath was created using brown card stock this was all put aside in order to prepare the base card and background layers i used white card stock for the base and then layered it with brown followed by yellow card stock the white embossed layer was adhered to the base with fun foam the die cut images were then positioned on the card and adhered with dimensionals or
