desert diva desert diva 02 april 2026 i made a card or two hi there i have two cards to show today using inspiration from some favorite challenges first up a card made using the color duo from color hues challenge and a birthday theme for simon says stamp wednesday challenge for this card i used a stencil from hero arts called decorative tile pattern inks from altenew aptly called navy and fuchsia birthday die and sentiment stamp are also from hero arts secondly i have a card inspired by the sketch over at freshly made sketches for this card i used an animal print stencil xl greetings 2 stamp set and locket of love stamp set from simon says stamp pink ink called fuchsia from altenew and black ink is versafine onyx black heart dies from my stash finished off with clear rhinestones hi there i am here to show you the cards i made using a cute stamp set from the new simon says stamp release that is available from today you can find it here i used the set called hoppy spring to make three cards i kept the designs simple just adding touches of pastel colors to play with the spring feeling check out all the amazing new products on the website and don t forget about the facebook share to pinterest labels simon says stamp 23 january 2026 trio of earthenware vases cards hi there popping in with three cards i made using the lovely earthen ware die set from the latest altenew release products used to make the cards earthen ware die set textured blocks embossing folder altenew cardstock shattered shell green opal misty sage pure graphite evening gray oval serenity zero waste die set card 1 stitched with love pk card 2 essential textures stone wall press plate card 3 obsidian black ink bold sentiments stamp set sentiment for card 2 climbing clematis stamp set sentiment for card 3 pop it up hydrangea stamp set sentiment for card 1 moon rock fresh dye ink instant dimension foam tape enamel dots die cutting machine spellbinders betterpress white cardstock stampwheel short explanation of the process i started off by die cutting the vases from shattered shell cardstock texture was added by running the cut vases through the die cutting machine using the textured blocks embossing folder card 1 for this card i created the background by cutting an oval aperture into the upper card panel using an oval die please refer to the photo for guidance on the placement and positioning the narrow grey border is a separate piece of cardstock also die cut using the die from the oval die set and was secured to the aperture with small pieces of tape on the reverse side i then used foam tape to adhere the aperture panel to the card base adding dimension to the design to finish the card i added a stamped sentiment along with a vase and foliage die cut from the cardstock colors mentioned above enamel dots were added as a final embellishment to complete the card card 2 for this card i used the leftover oval die cut from the first card the grey one to add interest i stamped the lower portion of the oval using a background stamp from the stitched with love stamp set once the background oval was adhered to the card base i completed the focal point by adding two more vases with coordinating foliage the sentiment was stamped cut out and adhered in place and the card was once again finished off with enamel dots card 3 for this card i used a leftover background piece from a previous press plate project see the product list above for details i trimmed it to fit the bottom third of the card and adhered it to the card creating a base for the die cut
