here i ve made some updates to my archive services rates reductions imagine that and i ve now officially added audio cassette digitization to the list of services feel free to reach out to discuss your archive 2025 highlight of the year re imagining yzd december 7 2025 in a year that was wracked by storm clouds and struggle there was a silver lining in april i kicked off my tenure as photographer in residence at yzd the massive urban redevelopment project that is transforming the downsview airport lands here in toronto over the months that followed i documented and created my signature double exposures in a new digital colour incarnation dreamed up specifically for this project as a means of interpreting the site in a new way you can read a lil interview i did with the folks at yzd over on their blog and see works from this series over on my instagram account for patreon subscribers i will be sending out an exclusive mail out related to this work come january issue 09 of doublecrossed zine hits the desk october 1st september 18 2025 new zine in time for the fall issue 09 is on the way and it s a doublecrosseddesk retrospective after years of your nudges i ve finally done it 10 years of desk images published in a special larger 8x10 format so you can see all the details there will only be 25 signed copies made as this release is niche and personal patreon market this weekend in toronto december 12 2024 this weekend i ll be taking this show on the road visit gallery 1065 in toronto on saturday for a west end holiday arts market i ll be there with matted prints my entire back catalogue of photo zines and framed prints from the seat at the counter series with the postal service on strike it s been a tough season for holiday sales but hopefully we can all connect in person cash carry but seriously all credit cards are accepted too i will be sharing the space with local illustrators designers photographers and textile artists so there is something of doublecrossed lands april 2nd march 30 2024 winter was strange and explorative to say the least but out of it comes a new zine release entitled trānscendentālis this is issue 08 of the zine series and a collaboration with artist lori anne krausewitz in the issue we take you on a black white journey with poetry collage and photography including our first series of micrographs photography created through a microscope we had originally worked on the central photo series at the heart of this project in december but after a visit from our dear friend and artist richard rhyme who brought with him a collection of seance and spiritualism imagery we decided to expand and explore that train of thought through our own spiritual practices and artistic frameworks the final work attempts to illustrate and make tangible the experience of growth evolution trauma and triumph in these recent years our goal was to translate it from internal to external singular to choral and from darkness to light gift certificates for gifting memories this holiday december 6 2023 a late holiday season idea that s just in time for the last minute shopper who still wants to give something thoughtful digitizing gift certificates are here i ve decided to launch gift certificates for digitizing bundles they start at 25 and go up to 200 each includes a set amount of either photo slide scanning or film video days but i am pushing against that heavy feeling with gatherings of friends afternoons baking for my tiny family and meditation and prayer when i can find the calm to just sit and focus all of those acts bring light to my life in every meaning of the word my wish for all of you is that very thing light lightness of heart and mind the lightness of laughter despite all the tragedy precious light june 27 2023 issue 07 of doublecrossed has arrived earlier than expected and looks good i m pretty happy with the results this time around even though i risked a mess when i opted to turn the whole orientation of the zine on its side as mentioned in the preview post this issue is set in eastern newfoundland canada it features black white sections cut with bursts of colour as i ve tried to collect the strange beauty of nature there along with the quirky creations of locals the price is a nod to confederation and i ll be shipping them out starting next week if you live in toronto you can this must be the place it s is a loop around the easternmost edge of north america strange and rocky doing it s own thing in its own time zone i offer you a little newfoundland canada with its darkness light and all the island charm in between we re jokingly calling it the pop up video of doublecrossed zines here at home and you ll understand when you see it there will be 50 numbered
