رسیم 1 تصويري که در ذهن ساخته می شود واقعيتی است موجود در جهان 2 تصويري بديع كه در جهان وجود خارجي ندارد ولي ما بر اساس تجربه و برداشت شخصي خود خلق مي كنيم گروهي معتقدند تصوير ذهني برداشتي است از تصاوير ذخيره شده در مغز البته طوري نيست كه براي يك جراح مغز قابل رويت باشد اين گروهpictorialist نام دارند گروه معتقدند چيزي به نام تصويرذهني وجود ندارد آنچه تصوير ذهني به نظر مي رسد حاصل تفكر است این گروه descriptionist نام دارند بهرحال هردو گروه معتقدند تصويرذهني كاملا شبيه واقعيتهاي بيروني است و همانطور که قبلا ذکر شد ارسطو میگوید تفكر بدون تصويرذهني محال است نکته بسیار مهمی که باید دانست این است که تصویرسازی ذهنی براساس خلاقیت است و نه براساس هوش اگر چه ممکن است تمام افراد بشر با هوش نباشندولی همگی خلاق هستند بنابراین این روش برای تمام افراد و تمام سنین موثر است و کاربرد دارد شاید بتوان
