has been reopened again just as justyna and everyone else wanted from me all her patterns are once again available for purchase it will be an honour to make sure that her memory will live on and i hope this will mean that her work will be both loved and admired for generations to come the prices on the patterns will remain as they were before the shop was down none of them have been changed some of the money from the sales will now also be given to charity the etsy shop has also been renamed from eridhancreations to inmemoryoferidhan you can find the shop on the etsy logo up on the left you to everyone today it is a week since justyna passed away from us the comments on the blog and all the messages i have gotten has been overwhelming and i want to thank everyone for all your kind words and your support during this difficult time it is heartwarming to also hear that she is such a big inspiration to so many people and that she inspired people through more than just her beading there is no other person in the world that i admire more than her after some serious consideration i have decided that the blog will remain open it has brought a lot of joy and happiness to a lot of people and closing the blog down would be taking that away from them instead it should be shared with others it is likely that justyna s site on pinterest will remain as well the shop however will remain closed it wouldn t be right to keep her shop going after her death but that doesn t mean that a new shop could not be opened again some day to honour justyna s memory sebastian autor eridhan o i will announce today that justyna has passed away that she has been fighting a long and hard battle against cancer was no secret to most people who has been following her work on here and etsy over the years that battle ended yesterday and we are one amazing person less in the world because of it on both her behalf and mine i want to thank you all who encouraged and inspired justyna to keep doing what she loved the most beautiful jewelry it really motivated her to fight her illness even harder she was an amazing woman kind and a very positive person that would always bounce back from even the worst setbacks she was also a very talented person who had a knack for quickly mastering any handicrafts that she tried her hands on but it was the beading that she really fell in love with it has been a privilege as well as an honour to have been an important part of her life rest easy now justyna you are terribly missed this blog as well as justyna s etsy shop with no listings no for it quite a long time there were a few things though that didn t leave any time at all for me to do some beading i knew that some of you could hardly wait for it and i must admit it was quite motivating so thank you for your patience and i hope you will like the tutorial i named the pendant polaris because most of you could see a star in it it isn t very difficult not more than the rest of my twisted peyote patterns but passing through the beads in the final rows can be more than challenging pliers were a must for me this time so you might consider using them too otherwise it can be really hard to hold the needle at some points i would suggest trying to make the other twisted pendants before attempting at this one really if you are already familiar with these twists it is much much easier this version of polaris is made with delica beads and as they are slightly smaller than toho treasure the entire pendant is a bit smaller too by the way it was the first time when i made something with galvanized delica 462 so not duracoat and i was a bit afraid that the color might rub off to my greatest surprise it survived all the twisting turning distorting and all the other twisting did i say that i love the twisted peyote more and more that s a stitch that gives a thousand of possibilities one idea leads to another one and when i was making the square from the last post such a new idea appeared in my head i just had to try it out as soon as possible of course i had no idea about the final result in the beginning but along with the growing number of beads i knew what i was going to achieve whether it was a successful experiment or not only you can probably tell i like it though as it looks different from anything i have made so far despite using the same stitch as in the last few pieces the pendant is made with toho tresure and round seed beads with a big 18mm rivoli in the middle it s not a small piece not small at all as it is almost 8cm 3 14 wide and long without the bail i haven t got any pattern for it yet but could be that it will be ready by the end of this week so is it a cross or maybe a four pointed star can t decide what it resembles to me i sunday april 27 2014 windmill or twisted square another twisted pattern i can t believe i have finished it of all my twisted peyote pendants this one appeared to be a nightmare first i have chosen wrong delica beads with extremely thin walls breaking more than easily i had to go back a few rows three times just to remove a half of a broken bead and replace it with a new one then i lost one of the bicone crystals and since i didn t have more than 12 beads of this colour in my stash i had to replace them all i truly hated this pendant long before i have finished it yet somehow it is finally done a similar pendant you could see in this post this time i used a different cabochon 14mm rivoli so it made the entire piece look a little bit different it s actually nice to see that you can achieve different results with exactly the same pattern just as the rest of the twisted designs it is made with cylinder beads and seed beads in sizes 11 o 15 o and 8 o in addition there are twelve
