day i got a treadmill last night from some friends on coopers football team i am so excited it is really nice just like the ones they have at the gym which i love i am not officially starting my challenge yet but i am going to get on it here in a few minutes when my shuffle is done charging and do a hiit session just to get me going i am excited but dreading it i am sooooo out of shape i appreciate the 2 strong guys that lugged this bad boy upstairs for me i know the thing must weigh close to 600 lbs i m not kidding and its super bulky and awkward thanks matt and mike i need to get rid of some stuff in the loft bigtime now but it will get done for now its up there and i can use it my loft just looks like crap wish me luck time to run um i mean walk really fast lol posted by janel at 7 59 am no comments monday october 24 2011 new start so here we go again yeah like a wise person once said you only fail when you fail to keep trying i actually have a lot new to blog about on the fitness front i wish it was amazing physical changes but i will get there just not quite yet heres the nutshell version of where i m at now i practically had a mental and physical breakdown this spring which caused me to get some help in the form of hypnosis therapy thats its own story d but in the process i was able to do some hypnosis for weight loss it has not been like some instant fix but it has been very helpful and helping me focus clear out the mental and emotional clutter and do some reflecting funny how things have fallen in place for my journey weight loss and otherwise and i am really feeling like i am ready again there is a lot that goes along with it and it may sound cukoo for cocoa puffs but what basically happened was i was able to use my subconcious mind which controls 90 of our thought processes btw to sweep out the negative view i have of myself so to speak and replaced it and told my subconcious what i really want to get us on the same path to success and i was able to move my determination dial from where it was a 3 5 to where it needs to be to get to where i need to be a 9 it may sound completely crazy town but until you exerience it it is easy to be skeptical now it has been about a month and i have still struggled i feel like there are these things i need to do before i can focus on my physical goals but thanks to the fixing i did in other aspects of my busy life i feel like i have checked enough off the list to get started i may need to go back for one more refresher session and energy work but plans are rolling out so where am i exactly by luck blessing what have you i will be securing a treadmill this coming weekend baby i am so excited which gets me very excited about doing a full 90 day bfl challenge being able to do the 20 minute hiit was critical to my success last time and i can finally do it again it has been the missing puzzle piece i have needed i love the treadmill for so many reasons the hiit is quick super effective and challenging it is exactly what i need right now and i have every other tool and equipment i need and now the motivation so ready posted by janel at 7 12 pm 1 comment thursday january 20 2011 thanks honey today gratitude is for marks job i am so grateful that he has a job he loves and is so good at i am so proud of him every day and i love that so many people count on him to get things done and be a source of common sens eand leadership he is always the one who can get it done and he really dosent recieve much compensation of that and thats ok with him he does what needs to be done i know that one day he will be rewarded for going above and beyond he is in the process of getting a lot of really bad evil people off the streets for a long time and it will be a big step toward keeping a whole lot of people safe i am so grateful for the steady income he is able to bring in and keep our household running i know the lord is watching over him and keeping him safe for us posted by janel at 8 23 am 1 comment wednesday january 19 2011 day 3 oof i had a wierd day yesterday i was mistaken on a couple of the finer points so i really messed up my points yesterday for the week but i think i have it figured out now i have zero motivation or energy but i am doing pretty good my goal for today is to get my laundry done and put away today i am grateful for my health and ability to get around and be active i sleep well and i am pain free i know we always pray for our health and it is such a blessing to be healthy posted by janel at 8 05 am no comments monday january 17 2011 new challenge today is day one of a wellness challenge that i am doing with some friends one of the things i need to do every day to get one of the points is journal a gratitude entry so this will be where i do that i love this challenge because it really focuses on an overall wellness instead of just tracking pounds inches or meals some of the things i am doing daily to get my points is reading something uplifting for 15 minutes not eating after 8 no sugar no fast food or junk food eating fruit an veggies etc i get one free point off of one of the things today it will have to be my 30 min of exercise with the kids out of school and it being a wierd chopped up day it just didn t happen however i got every other point so i get a perfect day today i am so grateful for my family we had so much fun at family night tonight cade had had a little tiff with his friends and just wanted to stay alone and pout but we made him come and eat breakfast for dinner and play apples an apples with us wyatt started doing this yell and making the most hilarious face we were all dying even cade was laughing holy crap it was so funny then i was laughing so hard and teasing mark because he bought this crazy watch for work that he bought for like 50 bucks then there was a price tag in the box for 24 dollars whooops it is a video camera watch and all the directions are in translated chinese which were so off best of all the brand is a tie ex hahaha so even though i had one of the roughest weekends i ve personally had in many years my sweet silly family had me in stitches then we had a great lesson about how to start to build your own testimony i really felt inspired to teach the kids about it out of the scriptures can an evening at home with the fam be any better posted by janel at 10 41 pm no comments friday august 13 2010 day 21 finally not that i get to eat anything fun because my diet is over because that is not how it works anymore right now i am concentrating on my 3 weeks of maintenence which is no starches or sugars i ll basically be eating fruit veggies and protein ya i am staying put at 160 which has been so lame to have worked so hard and just stay the same i don t know why i only lose to a certain point but i did lose 11 whole pounds in 21 days so i will just be happy i got me a lot further than doing nothing did right posted by janel at 9 30 am no comments wednesday august 11 2010 day 17 so its tuesday night and i m still at 160 ugh here we go again i ve decided to just keep this as a 21 day challenge in order to keep my sanity d i ve stuck to the diet really well but my body just seems to let me down i am going to do my 3 weeks of maintenence starting on saturday and then do another 21 day round so 4 more days of the low cals tomorrow will be my last day of the drops i will be happy to start walking next week and hopefully i will be able to still drop 5 pounds or so during maintenence posted by janel at 12 35 am no comments older posts
