walking as much leave a comment the office filed under kids godardfam 2 57 pm r got to go to daddy s office for the day he was so excited he mentioned it everyday for a week and then woke up at 7am thursday morning to get ready to go i heard something like daddy daddy we re going to be late hurry up i also heard him say daddy should i dress up nice like you aww the highlights he got to ride the commuter bus he got to go to the office pizza party for march madness he loved all of daddy s cool gadgets like a headset to talk on the phone he got to go in the tunnels if you don t know houston then these are underground tunnels that connect most of the large office buildings in downtown houston there are a few places to eat down there and stuff downtown houston is decorating for march most determined person i ve ever known since the day he was born i love how he never gives up after running down this driveway to get to the street many times he sat down on the ground feeling defeated after mommy stopped him every time but the pouty face soon turned into a very big smile he decided to take a different approach here s video of the first attempt of his new strategy look at time in houston and since we were in the neighborhood a few weeks ago we decided to go find both of our old houses and take photos we lived about 15 minutes from each other amazing my old house my dh fun i wrapped 24 christmas books i was a few short and went to a local bookstore and searched for the way cheap on sale ones although your dollar store might have some and put a tag with a number on it 1 24 each night we open a new book and the kids really look forward to it and of course we started with elf on the shelf i had heard of this book and decided this year to start the tradition of the elf along with the book advent i hope that years from now the kids will have some sweet memories i highly recommend the elf on the shelf it has been so much fun every morning they are so eager to see where he is here s where he was this morning our kids were looking for a name for him they decided to use j s word for please which is ling a ling we registered the elf s name online as ling a ling for christmas it has to be simple and not expensive especially this year since my son has two teachers he calls them switch teachers it s his first year having two teachers that teach 3 subjects each my daughter has one teacher assistant and i wanted to include ballet teachers ect i decided on this project my finished product it says a note from mrs nelson this notepad turned out to be super easy i started with this link http fullofgreatideas blogspot com 2010 11 home made note pads for teachers gift html then i made some of my own alterations materials i used resume paper that i already had ribbon half off at hobby lobby rubber cement butterfly clips paper cutter mine has different blades that can be switched out one that it came with was a perforation blade photoshop although any word processing program will do printer i started with photoshop and designed the text i put all the text about 6 inches down an 8 5x11 inch paper then i copied the text and put a duplicate of it on the same line i printed 15 sheets then i cut off the excess paper on the bottom perforated the top then cut down the middle in between the two texts so each page give you two pieces of notepad paper 30 pieces in all perforation hole at the top after i was done cutting i hole punched the top i put two pieces of white paper around the top of all the notepad paper so glue wouldn t get all over the notepad paper then i put two cards at the top and used the butterfly clips you want the paper to be pushed together tight butterfly clips with old cards sorry the photo isn t that good i put 5 or 6 thin layers of rubber cement on top let it dry then added the ribbon now each time the teacher goes to use the paper the teacher just has to tear the perforated paper and it s ready to use note you can probably also add a magnet to the back you can make it more christmasy if you want but i wanted them to be able to use it throughout the year most fun project ever comments 1 books 11 30 10 filed
