scott at 11 33 am 2 comments 1 23 13 baby it s cold outside brrr it s been such a cold winter so far last winter was so mild and warm so i guess it was to be expected for this year to be cold and it is cold we ve had the biggest storm i ve ever seen it s snowed and snowed and we shoveled and shoveled until we had mountains of snow big enough to build slides schools even got canceled in utah which is no stranger to snow storms but we didn t shed any tears over it lots of layers hot coco shovels and some sleds is all you need to have endless hours of fun it looked magical outside and somehow snow makes for such pretty pictures thank you to our neighbor jessi for snapping some for us ben the snow angel that s our christmas tree in the picture scott just stuck it in the snow bank it totally looks like it belongs there posted by diana and scott at 1 03 pm 1 comment christmas jammies the kids get to open one gift on christmas eve which is always a new pair of jammies and a new book to read that night so here is my little santa and his two elves they kids were so funny and so excited about their jammies benjamin kept doing a little elf dance that was hilarious sorry for the blurry phone pictures that s all we ve got posted by diana and scott at 12 19 pm 1 comment oh christmas tree i know this is way late but oh well this is for my journaling sake we decided to branch out from our usual tree lot christmas tree and go find and cut down our own it was quite fun we loved looking for our perfect tree the boys loved cutting it down and i loved how fresh it was and it stayed fresh the whole time usually by the time it s christmas our tree is all dried up and shedding its needles and i can t wait to get it out of my house not this year this tree held up so nicely and i was actually really sad taking it down i think this will become our new christmas tradition posted by diana and scott at 12 04 pm 1 comment 11 27 12 giving thanks as everyone is compiling their gratitude lists this time of the year i ve been thinking about the blessings in my life as well there are a lot of them we ve been truly blessed abundantly but i can t seem to shake the feelings and tears of gratitude for the people in my life so here we go i m grateful for my mom she is one of the greatest people i ve ever known and i m so lucky to call her my mom and my best friend i m grateful for my sister and brother in law they are awesome and they are moving to utah hip hip hurray i m grateful for my mother and father in law they are the best set of second parents a girl could ever want they are amazing kind loving people and i love them with all my heart i m grateful for my grandparents i live so so far away from all of them it s so sad but i have pretty amazing and unusual heritage because of them and i m so proud of it i m grateful for my neighbors we live in the best neighborhood i never want to move except we ll have to one of these days i think my little heart might break when that day comes but that day is not today and for that i m so grateful i m grateful for my friends new and old they brighten my day and make me feel so loved i m grateful for my scott he is my love my rock my strength my sunshine he is the perfect man for me i love you dear thank you for your love your sacrifices your hard work your example you are the best of the best i m grateful for politics benjamin overheard us talking about the presidential debate he started asking who romney was why we have to vote to elect the president and why some would vote for one vs the other so we tried to explain the difference between obama and romney in simple 6 year old terms us obama wants to take money from the rich and give it to the poor romney wants for everyone to be self efficient and have an opportunity to take care of themselves ben if i had money i would want to share us sharing is wonderful we should always share but sharing should come from the heart the government should never force anybody to share now fast forward to the next day we re getting in the car to go drop some stuff off at di the boys have this huge bear they don t play with anymore there is no room for it in our house we ve been keeping it stuffed in the closet so we finally decided it was time for it to go as scott was putting the bear in the back of the car ben dad why are we getting rid of our bear scott something along these lines you guys don t play with it anymore there is no room for it another little boy or girl would really love to have it ben but i don t want to give it away to another boy or girl scott i know and then reemphasizes the why again ben dad you re acting like obama right now ha so funny this kid cracks us up posted by diana and scott at 9 53 am 3 comments 10 16 12 2 months my little peanut turned 2 months this last week well she is not so little anymore she has become the chubbiest softest most kissable little bear ever here s where she s at at 2 months a whopping 12 lbs 85 th percentile 22 5 inches 50 th percentile she started to smile when she sees us especially in the mornings when she is the happiest i m always greeted with the big smile first thing in the morning love it she has reflux really bad her tummy hurts her quite a bit although i think she s been getting better she loves to be held and does not like to be put down much she loves her mobile and will lay there staring and smiling at it for a little while best purchase ever pretty much the only way i can get about 15 minutes to get something done really fast she sleeps pretty well at night usually waking up once except for the nights when she wakes up three times and has a hard time going back to sleep because of her tummy but thankfully that doesn t happen every night it s been a bit of an adjustment having three kids in all honesty it s been kind of hard i can t seem to get back into a schedule but we re getting there slowly we love this little girl so much she has little family scott and i met while studying at byu we were married in august of 2004 at the bountiful temple we have been blessed with four amazing little kiddos benjamin is 6 and is the smartest kid i know andrew is 4 and he s got the funniest little personality lily is 6 months and she is our joy and our sunshine we are also privileged to be parents to a perfect little baby girl that we didn t get to keep on this earthly journey they all make our life so full and so fun each and every day things they says that just have to be remembered benjamin 5 11 ben is asking me if andrew and him could go play at a friends house i must have hesitated for a second because he was quick to add if i m at seth s house than you can just clean up the house and i won t be here to mess it up and i won t be bugging you doesn t that sound like a good idea haha how could i say no to that one 3 11 we are at church at the sacrament meeting the speaker is crying andrew ben why is she crying ben because she feels the spirit 2 11 benjamin was telling me about a dream he had last night ben i saw jesus come down from heaven me did he talk to you ben well no he was talking to everybody me what did he say ben i don t really remember me how did you feel when you saw him ben i was like oh my gosh it s jesus and i was smiling me that s a pretty cool dream ben yeah i wish jesus would come down to earth again in real life me me too 1 11 we re driving in a car benjamin asked for a drink and i didn t have any after a couple of seconds of thinking about it he says when i am an electrical engineer i will build fountains on the road so when somebody gets thirsty in a car they can just stop and get a drink of water from a fountain i don t know why daddy hadn t thought about that 3 10 davey scott s cousin benjamin how old are you ben i m 3 davey when do you turn 4 ben after you re 3 3 10 benjamin is saying a prayer before bed please bless our prophet thomas s monson pause obama mom who s obama me he is the president of the unites states of america ben continues with his prayer heavenly father please bless obama it s was kind of funny he s been praying for him ever since i think our president can probably use some 3 year olds praying for him 10 09 i m making dinner and benjamin is asking me for fruit snacks i ve already told him several times that he can have some after dinner but not right now after asking me yet again and me telling him not till after dinner he says urgh you stubborn old mare fyi it s from a geotrax dvd that he loves 9 09 at dinner benjamin was messing around and fell off his chair head first after some crying he climbs back on the chair and says why did you make this floor with tile and not grass it wouldn t hurt my head so much if it was grass 8 09 benjamin was watching cindirella for the first time i have to admit it was my idea to watch it it used to be my favorite growing up after the movie was over he said mom let s not watch that ever again 4 09 andrew disappointed voice oh why 2 11 i was at a relief society activity the boys were being babysat by some young women in our ward as i was picking them up me what did you guys do andrew we watched
