pregnant i am starting to get more uncomfortable as time goes on but nothing too crazy yet things are looking good as far as we can tell and baby boy dutson should be here some time in june my due date is the 13th but we will see when and how he decides to make his appearance a couple weeks ago we went to jacob s older half sisters funeral in cedar city her name was laura and she was 37 years old we aren t sure why she died jacob s mom is raising 3 of her daughters we were so glad we could be there to support them and his mom what a comfort to know that she is at peace that she can rest and that she is with people who love her jacob s brother returned from his mission 2 weeks ago it was nice to be able to see him after 2 years emma was only 3 or 4 months old when he left so he had fun getting to know her over the easter weekend it was nice that there was such a positive to offset some of the sad things going on in jacobs family emma had lots of fun with her family over the easter weekend she loves going to visit people she tells us all the time that she wants to visit her grandmas and papa s and that she loves her aunts and uncles and cousins she even loves and misses their dogs and talks about them when we came home from our easter weekend she had an especially hard time she kept crying because she missed everyone so much and she wanted us to go back to see them right now she had fun finding easter eggs or as she calls them eggies she got to find her easter basket too in jacob s family they hide the easter baskets and everyone has to find them we had 10 baskets to hide so we got pretty creative lately i have been working on packing boxes because we will be moving the first weekend in may it s just across town to a much bigger apartment i am excited to be moving on but we really will miss our ward and the friends we have made one of the things that makes it easier to leave is that lots of them will be moving too we have lived in our little cinder block cave for 5 years now and we ve been married for about 6 can i just tell you even though i am so excited for a bigger nicer place and i definitely don t want to stay here i hate moving it s so much work and it s super frustrating to try and pack boxes and move stuff around when you are not supposed to lift more than 20ish lbs because you re pregnant i am taking it one thing at a time and hopefully we will be ready in time jacob received and accepted a full time job offer at his job here in logan we think it will be a good job for him and for our family he hasn t finished his research and thesis for his masters degree yet but he is working in the mean time as a student until he finishes we hope he will be all finished by the end of summer semester in august i am so proud of him for sticking with things and for the years and hours of work he has put in i intend to throw the hugest party celebration for him when he is done thank you for all you do sweetheart last weekend i had my baby shower it was fabulous it was so nice to get to see all those that came especially those from out of town or that i haven t seen in a long time if you couldn t make it i totally understand but know that you were missed i really wish i got to see more of my friends and family than i do thank you thank you to all everyone did it couldn t have been better i feel very blessed to know all you people i am only sorry that i was silly and didn t remember to take any pictures fun with playdough emma thinks it s hilarious to put it on her nose if we can just make it through the next several weeks hopefully things will calm down a little before baby gets here i am sure that if you have offered to help out in some way you ll probably get taken up on that offer if you are interested in helping with the move we are moving with the u haul saturday may 5th starting at 9 30 am there will also be plenty of cleaning and unpacking and such to do as well we will gladly accept whatever help anyone would like to give let us know if you will be helping posted by heather at 10 25 am 2 comments friday march 9 2012 some thoughts i realized something the other day as i was driving home i have never really been in love with the way i look pregnant or not but although i don t love every thing about my body i don t want to look like anyone else i want to be me i want to look like me but at my best or better anyway this realization made me happy i am proud of what heavenly father has blessed me with and i want to do my best to take care of it i have to be very careful to be in the world but not of the world for me what this means is choosing to expose myself to positive things especially in the media i am not stupid i realize that tons of awful twisted horrific and sad things happen every day but i don t need to hear about them the only thing that accomplishes is spreading the terrible feelings those events cause i realize that i am probably more sensitive than most people when it comes to this it was to the point i was having nightmares and constant thoughts of horrible things happening i am choosing instead to focus on the good there is i end up happier and i am better able to help those directly around me and help them be happy too and it is making all the difference to me i always thought as i got older and time passed that the loss of my mother would get easier it has changed and the things that i miss are somewhat different but the pain is still very real i don t think it will ever really disappear i will continue to wish she was by my side at times until the day i die i am very grateful for what i have been blessed with in her absence a wonderfully patient husband who loves me more than i can comprehend my family who loves me in laws that love me and some of the very dearest friends to have ever lived and my little ray of sunshine my life would be so empty without her i thank heavenly father every day for sending her to me and giving me the opportunity to be her mother and experience the joy she radiates i don t really know our son yet but i am sure he will be a blessing in my life as well i am also thankful for the good things my mother was and did she was far from perfect but that s part of what makes me love her all the more i am trying my best not to let things beyond my control stress me out and aggravate me not knowing where we will be or what we will be doing in a few months is pretty unnerving but i have faith that with our hard work and heavenly fathers help we will be where we should be not knowing if i will be able to give birth to this baby through traditional means or have to have another c section is another source of anxiety i have confidence in my dr and know that only time will reveal the real answer i am also trusting that my family and friends will be around to help and support me and my family whatever happens i am trying to enjoy the small and happy things that happen every day i love seeing the sun shining outside i love hearing i love you too much mamma from my silly girl i always get a burst of happiness from wonderful bright c o l o r s and fun patterns they make me excited and want to create things and i love watching my sweetheart be a daddy it is one of the things that makes me the very happiest every day and i am so grateful to my friends who seem to always be ready with a laugh and a smile posted by heather at 10 31 am 2 comments thursday january 5 2012 we re back i have been absent for a while but not without reason in case you didn t know i m pregnant this pregnancy included a few unexpected and stressful bumps as well so i have enjoyed please note implied sarcasm being pretty ill i am feeling lots better lately and think things are looking good i am due june 13th and as long as baby cooperates i should get to find out if squidget will get a brother or a sister on wednesday we are so excited to have another member of our family my absence is also due in part to a hacked computer i am still not sure exactly what happened especially since i use a mac my tech savvy hubby has taken care of me and my sick computer too and i am back in business now i got a new couch for my birthday and it was just in time the other one was getting pretty sad with holes getting ever bigger emma had started pulling the stuffing out of it too i love my pretty new one so much thank you husband we had a fun halloween as the three bears enjoyed thanksgiving with family jacob finished fall semester with a 4 0 and i am very proud of him i don t know anyone who works harder at school than he does it s nice to see some of his sacrifices pay off i am pretty sure that in my entire academic career i never got a 4 0 miss squidget enjoyed her 2nd birthday just before christmas she had lots of fun even if she did sleep through part of it we also had a lovely christmas break full of lots of family and friends we are very blessed my poor mother in law even still likes me after i projectile puked all over her bathroom during our visit tmi sorry on monday jacob should be starting the last semester of his academic career unless he decides to get a dr degree someday he is excited and apprehensive about the months to come as am i he has also been going through some changes at work and had some interviews for the near future all in all life around here has been pretty eventful we don t know where we will end up or exactly when we will be moving on i guess we like doing big things all at once around here like when squidget was born it was end of fall semester graduation for our bachelors degrees and christmas all at the same time and this june we will probably be moving jacob should be defending his thesis and we will be having a brand new baby i am a little overwhelmed when i think about it all good things but a lot all at one time so i am going to need lots of help please keep us in mind and prayers and keep some time in june free so you can
