fiction i probably won t be around too much i have decided to move all my posts from the hells bells motel from here over to reddit i revamped and renamed it blackwood ridge but hells bells motel is still part of the town lately my creativity is working overtime and i m totally enjoying myself with less family stressors its made a big difference now if i could just quit this ball and chain existence doing medical transcription for pennies somebody commented my stories would make a good tv series or something to that effect which was quite a compliment because i m fairly new at writing fiction stories i am getting tons of traffic which i didn t get here of course on reddit nobody sees how many views you actually get on a story and that s not important per se but it s nice to know that others are enjoying reading my shared stories some of mine have hit 1500 to 2000 views after only a few days of posting them i am enjoying interacting and reading other s stories as well and diabetes i have the sweetest cat sissy whose been with me for 16 years the runt of the litter whose mother was a full blood ragdoll and perhaps a stray daddy because she is long haired black and white she doesn t have the ragdoll classic bicolor look or creamy tan chocolate dark or light tan she is my constant companion and i am worried that she might have diabetes she weighs 8 pounds so i know she s not obese but she seems to want to eat more than normal and her litter box seems quite full from one day s clean to the next day also she can be quite vocal at times almost a yelp from somewhere else in the house maybe a little dementia on top of it she definitely has the constipated relief poop zooms to be sure the most logical thing is to take her to the vet for lab tests i called my vet and it was going to be a whopping 255 00 i am not sure she is diabetic but it got me to researching and i did find out that changing her diet might turn this around if she does have diabetes i always thought that buying grain free dry food was better for her as well as increasing her fluid intake with the bisque and litt l soups and lil shakes as she s not a big water drinker but i was dead wrong all of those have ingredients that are not helping to keep her healthy and are leading her down a path to have diabetes the list includes tapioca starch guar gum peas corn starch coconut milk xanthan gum chickpeas all of those are high carbs including the nulo dry foot in order to prevent or stop the progression of diabetes my cat will need low carbs and high protein diet only this means that she cannot eat anything with these ingredients above in it truth is that these grain free dry cat foods are full of carbs i did find high protein dry food with close to zero carbs 4 to 5 compared to the other brands at 30 to 40 and mousse and pate with none of the added gunk eating healthy can be expensive for both man and beasts but a necessity however i still may need to bite the bullet on the vet
