nancy keslin designs monday november 7 2016 have yourself a lawn fawn christmas hello everyone hope you are off to a great monday today i wanted to share with you a fun project i made for chibitronics using some wonderful goodies from lawn fawn we are hopping with them this week be sure and check out their chibi projects as well supplies used chibitronics copper tape chibitronics led light stickers chibitronics twinkle effect sticker lawn fawn cheery christmas stamps lawn fawn cheery christmas dies lawn fawn small dotted square stackables lawn fawn perfectly plaid petite paper colored pencils cardstock card base glitter cardstock stickles foam tape step 1 cut plaid paper to 3 75x5 inches and using dotted square stackable cut window i used the second largest square save the inside window piece we will use it later attach to card base step 2 again using the same square stackable cut glitter cardstock for inside the window step 3 stamp desired images onto white cardstock i like to stamp a few extras just in case step 4 die cut and color selected images i added stickles to the christmas lights for added interest and sparkle step 5 flip over the plaid inside window we cut earlier and free hand a snow bank and attach to glittered window we cut in step 2 assemble die cut and colored stamps where desired and using foam squares attach to snow bank background step 6 poke hole in card where you want light to shine through this is where we will place the star later place winter scene onto card base and use a pen or pencil to mark on card base where the light should be step 7 create circuit there are lots of great tutorials on the chibitronics page for how to use different stickers you can find them here but this is what my circuit looks like when complete as usual i have added a small strip of paper to keep my circuit from being complete until the paper is removed this switch allows me to mail off the card without worry of the battery dying in transit step 8 place winter scene onto card base using foam tape to allow for the battery and sticker depth this card was so much fun to make and i love the way it twinkles hugs nancy posted by unknown at 12 00 am no comments 2016 avery elle and chibitronics hey everyone welcome to the chibitronics avery elle blog hop i am so thrilled to share with you a couple of projects i made using their amazing stamps dies inkpads and patterned paper goodness avery elle has it all not familiar with avery elle well avery elle is a small corporation located in southern california they launched their first set of whimsical stamps in june 2012 and have now expanded into stamps dies and color coordinating pigment ink pads patterned paper pads twine and a2 top folding note cards avery elle stamps dies and paper are all proudly made right here in the usa ok well now for the fun stuff much like many of you i sent one of my lovelies off to college this year she had been a bit down in the dumps a little homesick moving 3000 miles away is hard for both of us i was sending her a care package yes i know she had only been gone a week and decided to make this fun light up card to light up her day insert apology it got a bit crushed in the box eek how cute are those little fairies and the papers are so fun but i think her favorite part was the way it lights up supplies used chibitronics led circuit stickers starter set chibitronics tropical led lights avery elle pixie dust clear stamps avery elle pixie dust ellements avery elle brights collection paper pad avery elle new moon pigment ink pad white cardstock kraft cardstock favorite medium for coloring foam dots sizzix machine step 1 stamp with pigment ink onto white cardstock and color i used copic markers for my card step 2 die cut images from white cardstock the avery elle ellements are so much easier than fussy cutting step 3 determine layout of design elements this step allows you to determine where you want the lights to go step 4 make holes in top layer for lights to shine through and mark light placement onto white cardstock base for reference step 5 use copper tape from chibitronics to create parallel circuit make sure and mark your positive and negative tapes for battery placement step 6 insert battery and check that circuit is properly functioning step 7 since i was going to be mailing the card and didn t want the battery to die i inserted a simple switch piece of paper between the battery and the copper tape once the piece of paper is removed the circuit is complete and the card will light up this step is totally unnecessary if you are giving your card immediately but i would hated to have the card arrive without the lights led lights last forever and the batteries last a good time as well but better safe than sorry step 8 at that point it was just a matter of assembling the card i used lots of foam dots to give the card dimension and allow for room of the battery and lights and that s it super fun super cute and i know she will sparkle brightly in her new adventure oh and because avery elle was so generous i also had the goodies to make this holiday card using the same basic techniques how cute is rudolph s nose thanks for dropping by hugs posted by unknown at 12 00 am no comments email this blogthis share to x share to facebook share to pinterest labels avery elle card care package chibitronics college onto white cardstock using hybrid ink and stamp step 3 create the circuit using copper tape and led light stickers on an extra sheet of paper or cardstock you can see more information and directions on the chibitronics website here i used three different colors of lights to give the card a bit more sparkle step 4 complete the circuit by adding copper tape to the back of the stamped sentiment step 5 embellish design with additional sequins this switch is super fun to use just run your finger over the bottom of the card and the lights sparkle you deserve a treat supplies chibitronics copper foil and vellum steam and coffee i used my trusty sizzix machine and some core dinations gold vellum step 4 assemble simple circuit behind where the steam will be placed step 5 to prevent the card from lighting before being presented i added a small piece of cardstock between the tape and the battery once presented the recipient can pull the cardstock out completing the circuit this is a simple way to prevent the battery from running out before the card is presented posted by unknown at 6 00 am no comments email this blogthis share to x share to facebook share to pinterest labels card 12x12 paper core dinations party mixers 3 pack rosettes in black white and golden pearl core dinations party mixers rosette garland kit in golden pearl core dinations party mixers paper pops silver and gold graduation day cut file from svgcuts dowel mason jar yellow embroidery thread mason jar congratulations centerpiece step 1 select desired pieces from core dinations paper pops pack these packages come in a varitety of styles and colors for any celebration you will need 6 pieces of two sizes to create ornament shapes plus two larger shapes for the title step 2 fold shapes in half with the side you want displayed on the inside step 3 glue shapes with the right side in together leaving a bit of a gap on the inner corner when all six are glued together you will get your ornament shape step 4 thread ornament shapes and larger title shapes onto dowel step 5 to create band on mason jar begin by cutting a sheet of the tim holtz metallic kraft core paper to fit your jar i cut mine at 1 1 2 inch by 10 and emboss if desired step 6 in order to keep your embossing pattern consistent throughout your longer projects you can cut a slit in the top of the folder allowing the paper to slide through i love this technique for embossing longer strips step 7 simply wrap your mason jar with the tim holtz kraft core metallic paper and insert your dowel with the ornaments i used a bit of krinkle paper to hold everything together but almost anything would work from pebbles to marbles to little hard candies graduation cap boxes step 1 cut all pieces from the svgcuts file step 2 assemble as per their directions the core dinations texture cardstock gives the cap a nice fabric finish graduation cap banner step 1 cut 1 1 2 inch mortar board shapes with electronic cutter step 2 attach
