sugardoodle tuesday march 8 2011 203 my days seem to be up and down and all around not going to say much other than it was no go bad day ugh the only good thing was that i worked out and had a great talk with my friend rachel thanks rachel 2 more days and we are headed to utah can i make it we shall see 0 comments monday march 7 2011 202 today was a good day a productive at that all my kids are sick and just in time to take a trip i hope they all get better before we reach utah took mel to the dr today and she has a sinus infection while there the dr listens to laurel and poor kid still is wheezing so she put her on a steroid for 3 days to see if that will help i am hoping it does ran a few errands and got them all out of the way before the trip i still have two more to do tomorrow and that should do it got laurel s orders today from patient travel she is good to go for her surgery at the end of the month when we finally got home there was a message from the eye dr samuel s glasses were in thank goodness so off we ran to get them that has been the day around here now i am off to bed only getting 2 hours of sleep isn t doing anyone any good 0 comments sunday march 6 2011 194 201 so i really slacked off this past week with posting so here it goes in a huge post satuday the 26th was the kids last basket ball game and cheerleading game melody has loved cheering i was so glad that she got to do this she loved her coaches and the girls on her team samuel didn t go to this game because he went on a youth temple trip that day he was so excited and nervous but he had a wonderful time i made him write his feeling down the mintue he got home he said it was the best time of his life sunday was a good and bad day good for church bad for after church was laying down with the kids on my bed watching a movie when i heard a noise didnt think much of it until a couple hours later we have these air vents for the attic on top of our roof the one over our bedroom has been making a really bad noise lately well i didn t hear it anymore so i got up and went outside to see to make sure everything was okay walked out and looked up and the darn thing was gone not to mention we had really high winds that day so i started looking around and found the thing in our front yard almost to the street i was like crap how and who am i going to call posted somethign on my facebook about it and a couple hours later here comes the longs to rescue me larry climbed and put a bag over the hole so if it rained it wouldnt leak into the attic into my bedroom lol can image that mess not no sooner had the longs left here came the burnett s they climbed up there said to get a new one and he would fix it so grasious to them both for looking out for us the burnett s came back out and got it installed and now it looks and works great i cannot tell you how lucky i am to have such great neighbors and friends thanks to you both monday laurel woke up sick and wheezing again and running a fever so i took her back to the dr along with samuel they are thinking laurel might have asthma but they arent for sure so we put her back on an inhaler and she does great but she aslo becomes very hyper mean and just a bully the picture of her is at 11 at night running around my house because i gave her the inhaler at bedtime now we give it to her at 4pm so that she is tired to go to bed we also had the hearts apart dinner that night as well it is so wonderful to know such great people and hold a dinner or luncheon for us once a month they work so hard to make sure we are good and make sure the kids are taken care of tuseday was the upward basketball and cheerleader award night it was great to see the kids enjoy themselves and support their teams sarah calls the one picture a turtle every game they blow up the tunnel and the kids get to run through it but sarah calls it a turtle she would yell at me mom there s the turtle so cute laurel lately has mastered the art of falling asleep on the floor she is so darn cute too wednesday and thursday we didnt have much go on other than the kids being sick so we pretty much stayed home and rested friday sarah had a fieldtrip to the local library they celebrated dr suess s birthday they read them stories and then they got to make a hat laurel fit right in with the kids she was having a blast samuel went on a scout campout to the wichita falls mountains we call them hills he had a great time and even earned a badge or something can t remember but he can take his knife with him now lol us girls headed to chucky cheese to celebrate one of sarah and laurel s friends birthday they had such a great time it was hard to get them to leave they love that place saturday was spent cleaning the house and getting some things done around here before we take off on our trip i did manage to get one project one i had these temple pictures laying around for a long time and i finally figured out what to do with them well that bring us to today today was great the kids behaved themselves in church we actually made progress today i didn t have to take laurel out at all today we got to stay in sacrament meeting the whole time yay singing time went great the kids hopefully learned the song and enjoyed themselves i will post more on it in another post here s to a week of getting ready to head to utah and getting kids ready for the big trip can t wait to see family and our friends 0 comments sunday february 27 2011 dress the teacher up review game today for singing time we did a review game it s call dress the teacher i can t take full credit for this because debby had planned it and i just performed it lol i found a spinner at dollar tree that had 8 spots on it we sang these songs 1 i will follow god s plan 2 if i listen with my heart vs1 3 book of mormon stories 4 i am a child of god vs2 5 jesus wants me for a sunbeam 6 if i listen with my heart vs 2 7 popcorn popping 8 if i listen with my heart vs3 i picked a child and had them come up and spin it was suppose to be pick a class and then they could pick an item for their teacher but it ended up that the kids were all so great singers that i had to pick each class they love it our teachers are the best spirited people here s the proof love working with them my daughter suggested that next time we use the primary presidency or the bishopric 0 comments friday february 25 2011 193 today was kinda of a nice quiet day no real drama thank goodness went to the gym today and had a great workout although it was very lonely since no one is coming anymore boohoo anyways it was great i really enjoyed it came home and tried working on primary stuff i realized that i deleted the wrong email ugh oh well i can figure this out got some ideas put together hope to get them done this next week if not on sunday afternoon when everyone is sleeping and doing what they are suppose to after picking up sarah from school i was able to finish another valentine s project yeah so happy to get these done hopefully i can finish up the last one and then move on to other things like deep cleaning my house samuel has a band concert tonight they did very well they had each section play a piece samuel s section play iron man it was awesome the kids are having late nights tonight one at my house and one at a friends house i truly love late nights tomorrow is a very busy day last of basketball games and samuel s first temple trip wish i was going with him 0 comments thursday february 24 2011 191 192 yesterday i got the opportunity to go to the temple it was wonderful the minute i walked in i was at peace with everything it was like checking baggage at the door and just left it there then when i headed back out just picked it up with a whole new way to deal with it what a wonderful feeling today was a good until i went to dr warnock i started my day out with hitting the gym had a wonderful workout today did about 10 miles between the treadmill and bike it was so wonderful to be there and push my body i was able to finish one of my valentine s wreaths that i have been working on it s a little late but oh well i got it done i started another wreath that i wanted done for valentines day as well i have it almost done hopefully tomorrow i can get it done had my check up with dr warnock and he set me straight i need to pick the higher road or just continue on the road i am and be back to what i weighed i know what i have to do but gosh darn it it s so hard i wish i could find that inner strength to just switch i have said it for months that i need to see a counselor about this i think it s time i will get this figured out and i will win this battle overall we had a great day not complaints here the exciting news is that we are going to utah here in a couple of weeks yeah the kids are really excited i just hope that i can get a break from the kids and they can get one from me but we shall see 0 comments tuesday february 22 2011 190 today was a good day no major drama around her or at least that i can t think of lol no really today was a good day it started off that we actually got up and had prayer and scriptures i have figured out the fighting issue between samuel and melody just keep them separated we will see how long it last then i got to go to the gym today started out a little rough with laurel she has been really clingy for a long time crying wanting me to hold her throwing a tantrum so glad that there was only one other person in the room today and i was able to just let her cry it out i was able to put in 2 25 miles on the treadmill and then 17 minutes on the bike thank goodness i needed it came home and chatted with michael for a bit on the computer and then it was time to get sarah from school as we were leaving to go and get her the mailman stopped me to say there was a a package on the steps yay got sarah and came home there was the package from michael he is now forgiven for not sending flowers on valentines day this is what he sent it is a beautiful blanket and pillow shams it s silver and purple the pictures do not do this justice at all it absolutely beautiful after getting kids down for a nap and finally getting set up for my cricut i was able to get some words cut out and finish a project that i have been working for a few weeks i liked how it turned out but not really happy with it i think i need to make a few changes to it before i will like it i will post pictures when i finish it had to run a few errands before taking mel to her last cheer practice i am so glad that it s almost over it s been nice to have something to keep us busy but it seems like every night we have something i will be glad that our weeks will get back to normal around here for a little while well i am off to bed i am so excited about tomorrow i get to go to the temple yeah i haven t been since michael and i went in november it s a much need time tomorrow too bad they are always hurry up there and hurry home trips but they are well worth it 0 comments monday february 21 2011 189 why is that there much always be that child that challenges everything takes the path that is so much harder it just makes you wonder why when you have taught them from the time they were little which way to go they have to wonder down that path went visiting teaching this morning had a wonderful visit with kayla and nick they are such a sweet family after visiting with them had to pick sarah up from school and we headed down to get my weekly shots i am wondering if my iron is low again they bruise me every time i get them especially this one lady she does it all the time guess i will boost up my potassium see if that helps after getting my shots we ran to kohl s to return something things and exchange some items then headed to walmart to pick up a few things came home and worked on the my primary stuff trying to figure out what to do for the next month and for sunday the girls fell asleep on the way home no wait only sarah fell asleep laurel didn t tried to get her to go down and she was crying by the door mommy mommy where are you mommy are you there mommy so i gave up and let her out hoping she would go to bed earlier yay right was waiting for the kids to get home from school when i got some phone calls from mel and erika i missed them because i was on the phone when i realized i text them and to come to find out some guy had been following them erika s brother went and found them and brought them part way home i went and got them the rest of the way home so from now on i will be going to get them or walking them home should start to warm up so it won t hurt at all lol took dinner to shelby tonight poor girl has been running ragged all week and then got sick over the weekend came home and we had a good dinner and family home evening just wish kids would listen sometimes it makes days hard when they choose that different road 0 comments sunday february 20 2011 188 i love sundays today was a challenge though you would think that after 7 month so doing this that sundays at church would get easier oh no i think they are getting harder laurel has discovered that she can escape and run for the door not fun that girl is an explorer i think i really need to get something for her to be entertained by if you have any ideas they are welcomed lol the talks were great today they were on keeping the sabbath day holy and blessing of being obedient they were all hitting home i have been trying to get my older kids to read their scriptures and write in their journals i have gotten some fabulous ideas from sister moon on keeping my kids on track for scouts young men and young women i just need to make the time and get them done today i took the kids each a side and had them tell me what they had going on this week man that sure helps me out then i can go back with my phone and program them in now i just need to get my menu planning done lol i really need to get myself on a schedule of when to do things i think that would really help me out as...
