characters there are no personal conflicts there s no deeper look into the lives of people or how all those corporations might exploit and harm the people unbound by governments everyone always agrees with the endministrator literally you to an almost stepfordian degree the villains are evil and against you the good guys are just and heroic and always on your side please don t mind the mass surveillance of wuling it s the good guys doing this so it s okay please don t mind the good guys of the game spreading assimilative space magic super cancer that has been used as a stand in for environmental disasters and basically corporate greed over oil and the like the game literally tells you not to think about it no it doesn t ask you to consider it as an imperfect means of combating something worse no it doesn t ask you to see it through the moral ambiguity of the franchise it asks you not to think about it and to view originium as this amazing space magic saviour thingy don t
