barney family barney family jason kellie mckay mckinley and beckham wednesday december 15 2010 fall 2010 and christmas in indiana pumpkin patch with beckham s preschool hay ride to get our pumpkins mckinley s soccer game on a cold fall morning mckinley s team won 8 to 0 and i think mckinley scored a few goals headless horseman in with good friends mckay trying to be scary night out in carmel jason loves bazbo s pizza in carmel so we decided to give it a try downtown carmel is so fun and full of many cute stores and exhibits the kids had fun posing with a few of the statues halloween 2010 this year the kids wanted to go scary the halloween crew we had fun trick or treating in the stout s neighborhood and hanging out for some chili afterwards a haunted house on our trick or treating route in november we had the pintar s out for some fun and root canals we did a lot in those couple of day but will remember it forever we managed to have two root canals done see the indy 500 louisville sluggers museum chicago notre dame butler and a colt s game here are some pics of jamie and i in chicago it was a wet day on michigan ave but we managed to still shop the stores mckay with his teacher mrs king mckay had his school program at school and he was a santa cadet he was a little embarrassed at the dance moves singing and his make up we decided to open a few presents before christmas this year to celebrate christmas in our new house also we didn t want to pack to many presents to utah the kids snuggling up on the couch as we watched the church christmas program this year because we didn t give each other gifts we each chose someone in the family to give a little special attention to for the week it was fun and enjoyable to see the many notes of appreciation and all the acts of service we opened a few presents we tried out a few of the new toys mckinley got a wii game just dance 2 and we had fun having a dance off here jason is showing the moves mckay wanted a rip rider for christmas here he is cruising the basement mckinley displaying her new shoes she has wanted these for months now and has worn them everyday since she opened them what a diva a yearly tradition at out house is making christmas cookies i tried hard to ignore this one this year not wanting to mess up my new kitchen but the kids wouldn t have it beckham loved his job of putting on the sprinkles mckinley eating the dough the kitchen did manage to come out in one piece now we are headed to utah in the morning i m sure there will be more fun to come posted by barney family at 2 14 pm 4 comments sunday november 7 2010 hse all stars 2010 mckay was selected to play on the hse a all star team this meant a lot of extra practice and some tough games to end the football season mckay started as corner on defense and the running back on offense playing on the a team the boys played in the large division which meant they would be playing the best teams in the indianapolis metro area we ended up with an unlucky draw and played two of the toughest teams in our bracket we came very close to winning one of those teams warren the final score 12 to 8 we played warren on the fishers high school football field under the lights it was a pretty cool experience for these 4th graders mckay had a great game and ran the ball so well we were so proud of him and so many people were amazed at how hard he ran with the ball we did get one win against noblesville 26 to 6 it was a heartbreaking end to the season as the boys were really starting to come together and mckay was learning so much jason and i only went through a slight depression as football ended mckay he seemed to bounce back just fine hopefully mckay can take some of this knowledge work hard in the off season do some summer camps and make the knights a full time 6th grade travel team next year here are some photos of our last game against pike it was a tough game both teams played hard and were evenly matched brigham young university in biology i taught school for two years and decided that i wanted to stay home with my children i have a eight year old son mckay a six year old daughter mckinley and 2 year old son beckham i am married to my high school sweetheart and our journey has taken us many different places together when jason finished his degree at byu we moved to ohio so jason could pursue his dds after being totally converted to buckeye nation and making such wonderful lifelong friends we ventured to colorado jason worked as a dentist for three years and decided he wanted to specialize in endodontics root canals currently we are in indiana as jason finishes his endodontic residency we love the outdoors and enjoy camping mountain biking playing softball hiking and trail running both jason and i run and train for marathons so a lot of our spare time is spent running i love to hang out with friends and family watch the office and reality tv with jason and support my children in school and extra curricular activities we have been blessed to have so many great friends and a great family and we love blogging so we can keep in touch with so many favorites my running blog aly
