the norman s the norman s friday august 17 2012 holy i suck at this i feel like every summer i get the urge to blog how pathetic am i i am posting because its the thing to do since last post my aisea has turned 1 kainoa will be 5 on tuesday jr has torn his acl recovered and gone back to work already i recently have quit my job at the pool my last official day is septemeber 1st i will be happy to be at home with my kids it has become too much of a juggling act and i am wearing out my welcome with my family and friends who have helped me with my kids when needed i also am opening a new chapter in my book and getting a website where i will post tutorials on refinish and reburbish work i do and have done i will also post on things i have designed or built or helped build and home makeover projects i may never make money doing it but i would be mad at myself if i didn t pursue this at this time in my life i have a big passion for it and i am very excited kainoa is doing everything it feels like he is in judo soccer just finished t ball and starts hip hop back up again in september not to mention swimming all summer learning to ride a bike with no training wheels running the bob phelps 5k and taking 3rd place in his age group he is active and constantly surprises me i love being his mom but he is so strong willed heaven help us all he is such a good brother he plays with aisea so well and aisea adores him i am not sending him to kindergarten this year i feel one more year at home will be good i am currently deciding if i should send him to preschool or just work at home on a few things a day kainoa s favorite thing right now is that his cousin eli lives close again they are such good friends and it is so nice that they are back aisea is jabbering and crawling and standing against things right now he is such a demanding baby he won t even let me go to the bathroom without crying but even with that of course i love the little stink and he is sweet he is just a mommy and daddys boy his laugh is awesome and i try all the time to get him laugh just so i can hear it jr is working go ups he is also into fitness a little and health which has been good because slowly it has helped me want to be better he has lost 40lbs and still losing i have lost 4 we have been in our home 2 years now and jr and my brother in law tom are in progress making kainoa built in bunk beds yes i said beds his room will sleep 4 when complete these beds will be the first big tutorial i will post on my blog when it is running i came up with the concept and tom and jr ran with it i am very excited for them i have no pictures to load at the moment but feels good to update maybe wont again until next year because like i said its the thing to do i hope i still have some readers comments friday june 24 2011 enormous pressure dear unborn after 37 weeks and 5 days of pregnancy i am done i don t ever remember feeling this way with kainoa and you my dear baby have taken up residency on my tailbone i can t sleep i can t stand for very long and i can t sit for very long or my legs start tingling and go numb with that being said can you please get here so i don t have to look or feel like this anymore posted by kalli at 2 24 pm 7 comments tuesday may 10 2011 could it be a real post blogger here i am don t get too excited i may disappoint but i feel now more than i have for awhile that i should update if only for my sis brookie so here we go it has been a year so even though brooke knows this i must fill in any on lookers we bought a house moved in july 3 2010 and are so happy to finally be in our own place and i am sure my mom is too does anyone else have a problem with decorating i have all these ideas no money and to be quite frank no balls to make a decision so after almost one year here i am still with only 5 things hung on my walls my yard is more than half in and we are getting cement this month we will have a patio and more parking now still need a fence plants and some sort of landscape idea but we have grass and a sprinkler system again need to decorate don t know if it will ever happen i am pregnant how about that i have 7 weeks left and only 5 more doctors appointments which means the longest part of the pregnancy is just starting it s a boy and he is healthy so am i the only way things could be better is if i could speed up time i still work at the pool i manage am in charge of the swim lesson program and teach private lessons my plan is to keep this job even after i have the baby kai thinks i am the coolest mom cause i work at pool and it s great benefit to him he can swim whenever i feel like taking him jr is still at ups and work is good he just got a wisdom tooth pulled and now has a golf ball sized cheek and he says people stare at him while he is at work i just told him tell them he was born with it kai has 3 more days of preschool left this year bittersweet how much he is growing up but i love his personality as he gets older he becomes more of a ham i am afraid we have a class clown on our hands i have learned to read too this year go me no kidding i knew how to read just didn t love it so alot of people wouldn t know this about me it isn t something i just brag about but i would have my sister erin read a book and tell me about it and i would write my book reports that way seriously never read a book in full in highschool thanks to my sisters and mom i have been reading books more than i ever have and actually really like it they are shallow easy reads but i am reading the goal is deeper books as i progress but i am good now with the genre we are in we are happy healthy and i feel like i can start blogging again even if it s boring to some i can keep a better journal than i have been til next most important is jr and i went through the temple i am just so lucky and blessed and happy to have my family sealed my little one will be 3 in august and that is just weird to me time really goes by too fast and sometimes i wish i could stop it i want another baby so bad and think i will be able to start trying within the next couple months my sisters brooke and erin both had new babies since i last posted brooke had a sweet boy named abe and erin just had a sweet baby girl named lily i don t have a pic of abe since i have not met him yet but brooke has picture s posted on her blog i will post a couple of lily though it is funny she has a scowl like jr my mom said so when i took the picture i told him to scowl too pretty funny but she is much sweeter than jr sorry babe she will be spoiled since she is the first grandaughter ok then i hope it isnt almost a year again before i post but if it is i do look at facebook more so maybe i will see some of you there posted by kalli at 10
