the parsons 2 15 11 my job hey everyone i updated and then i seemed to be a slacker again but the truth is i haven t been slacking at all i am working for storytellers club again yippee have i ever said how much i love them i am working with the digital side of the company which has been fabulous because digital scrapbooking is what i love to do you can check out our website here i have been helping design layouts and few other design things i love my job the best part is i get to stay home with these two sweeties with my new job i have been focusing on getting the word out about digital greeting cards and invitations by shutterfly view the entire collection of cards 2 comments 1 20 11 halloween 2010 for halloween this year kinsey wanted to be either a princess or a supie super hero well after i heard that all of the other cooper cousins were going to be super heroes i made kinsey a wonder woman costume jen came over and we whipped up a few items for kinsey and for brielle we were in panguitch the week before halloween and the elementary school always has a halloween parade that friday so dressed cooper and kinsey in their costumes and katie took them so they could attend i stayed home at my mom s with chloe who did not have a costume this year sad i know my mom is the best librarian ever the elementary is so lucky to have her she always is doing fun things in the library for the kids and she did not disappoint for halloween my mom kinsey and cooper leading the halloween parade we ended up in provo and didn t make it home to take kinsey trick or treating so we took her to the mall it was different but glad we got to take her out somewhere 0 comments 1 15 11 chloe makae parsons on october 4 my dr had me go in to get some ultrasounds before he started me the next day he thought i was about 38 39 weeks throughout my pregnancy the plan was to start me around 38 weeks to avoid having another big baby as the pregnancy went on my dr changed the due date on me according to what i had expected to be my due date in the ultrasound the day before chloe was born the tech estimated her to be about 8 lbs 7 oz some of the numbers estimated her almost 41 weeks yeah i guess we didn t get to avoid the big baby situation kalen and i went in the morning of the 5th and they broke my water at about 8 30 kinsey stayed home with my mom until i progressed a bit and then katie stayed home with kinsey til i was almost ready to push they started pitocin and i seemed to be doing ok i had pretty good company throughout my labor my mom and kalen were pretty funny and helped me keep my mind off of the pain as my contractions got worse mom and kalen seemed to step up the funny they would watch the monitor and tell me when the contractions started to go down one time they were telling me my numbers 45 56 61 74 it s starting to go down now 83 86 yeah i started laughing so hard cause obviously they weren t going down laboring and laughing actually is a pretty good mix i finally was ready for the epidural at about 1 00 pm this time the epidural was a bit different than kinsey s i could still feel quite a lot but it was for sure better at about 2 00 pm i told my mom i felt like i needed to push they got my nurse called the dr and chloe was born at about 3 30 pm when the dr showed her to me i was shocked at how much she looked like her big sister the nursery was way busy that day so they kept chloe in with us for a few hours before she went to the nursery had her bath and was weighed but we could tell the the ultrasound the day before was pretty close she was 8 lbs 6 oz at about 6 00 pm i told kalen it was crazy that i still couldn t feel my toes my legs kept falling off the bed and i had to have someone put them back up for me i was pretty sure i should ve been able to feel them by this time kalen went and asked the nurse if the epidural was still going and she said it was turned off but she didn t check about an hour later still no feeling the nurse came in and was shocked to see that not only was the epidural still in my back but it was still dripping yeah no wonder i was so numb so i had to wait another few hours before i could even stand up it was hard not to be able to get moving but actually nice to have the extra numbness for a while we named her chloe makae parsons we always knew we were going to name her chloe kalen picked it and i loved it but the middle name was hard we couldn t think of anything that sounded well with chloe i suggested something after kalen and he suggested something after me so we put them together ma after mandy and kae after kalen chloe makae parsons later i realized that kinsey shae and chloe makae rhymed i guess it works kinsey came to see chloe while i was still numb kinsey was a little nervous and shy but she told us she was pretty and that she loved her it was a really neat moment for me to watch as kinsey met her little baby sister she also confirmed that we should keep her name as chloe katie was able to come in as the photographer of the event jennie stayed at my house with the kids thanks jen afterwards i got the impression that it was a neat experience for katie to be there to see chloe come into this crazy world kalen s parents were on their way home from a baseball game in orem and were able to stop by i was actually delivering chloe when they arrived so they had to wait in the waiting room for a bit but then they got to meet their newest grandbaby i am so thankful my mom was able to come she came a couple days before i was induced which was awesome i don t know what we would have done if she wasn t here she spent the nights at our house with kinsey while we were in the hospital and i know it helped kinsey to have her grandma there it also helped ease my mind knowing kinsey was well taken care of thanks mom for being there for us dad came with ronnie the next weekend but the trip came to a quick end and they had to pack up and leave quickly cause jamie lou got in an accident in provo with some friends thankfully they were all ok but jamie did have to take a little trip to the hospital for whip lash and a small concussion the trip was so quick i didn t even get to take a pic of dad or ronnie with my girls we are so thankful for this new sweet addition to our family she is such a great baby she sleeps through the night eats well and is growing like crazy kinsey is so good with her too i was worried about the transition but we are pretty lucky chloe has filled this spot in our home we didn t know we were missing 4 comments sisters kinsey loves to hold her baby sister she asks to hold her all of the time and almost always wants me to take a picture i didn t realize how many pics of her and chloe i have in this same pose after getting them altogether and checking them all out i had to laugh at each picture they are pretty funny chloe has a funny look on her face in most of them see for yourself the first picture is kinsey s first time holding her baby sister i was pretty suprised how sweet and tender she was with her i just love these pics the picture on the right is on kinsey s birthday i can t believe she is already 3 left the girls during thanksgiving chloe wasn t too happy about getting her picture taken left matching holiday jammies i love finding matching outfits for my girls kalen thinks i am crazy cause we have so much clothes for chloe from livi kinsey and some from brielle but i can t help buying those matching outfits right after meeting santa at the golf course kinsey was not having that at all left christmas eve at grandma grandpa s in panguitch right christmas dresses kinsey picked her dress she loves it we have a hard time letting her wear it cause it leaves glitter everywhere left christmas outfits too cute right just another cute pic 1 comments 1 14 11 family pics fall 2010 in november we had some pics taken of our girls and a few family pics by ge photography gaylene ekker erwin she is fantastic she was so sweet with chloe and kinsey just loved her and as you can see she is a great photographer as well kinsey was extremely cooperative which was great cause she usually has a mind of her own we got so many great pics of her sweet smile it has been hard to choose which one to get printed we have had lots of comments about her curls wondering how i make it do that ha water and hair spray is all it takes to keep her cute curls under control she has really fun hair chloe was about 6 weeks old when we got these pics taken i am sure i am pretty partial but gosh my girls are cute chloe let us bug her for a few hours and again we got quite a few great shots of her i am excited to get these pics up on the wall the bad thing is that they grow up so fast and her pics are almost already outdated i wasn t sure about getting family pics taken so early after having a baby but i decided that it was a good idea for our girls to have some pics later in life i told gaylene to shoot my skinny side i love my family some of you may be wondering why i am posting these family pics before i have even posted the pics from the hospital and such i am getting to that i guess my posts will be a little out of order for a while stay tuned more pics to come 1 comments 10 2 10 we are still alive so it has been such a long time since our blog has been up dated so i figured i better put in a quick post to let everyone know what we have been up to oh and yes this is kalen doing the posting by the way so bare with me it might not go in the best of order the end of june i started a new job out here in the basin i work for a company called newfield exploration it is an oilfield company i am an equipment operator for them and basically do anything and everything for the company it has been such a great change for our family the extra income has been great and the company is really great at taking care of their employees the 4th of july we stayed home this year they are just so cute the lil kiddie rodeo in neola kins got to go chase after bunnies she was mad when it was all over because she didn t know she was supposed to pick one up she thought she was supposed to just chase them around but thank goodness she didn t get one because what would we do with a bunny her cute little out fit that mandy made for her for the rodeo the middle of july i found myself getting my appendix out it sure was a crazy experience good thing my new job had outstanding insurance that started the day i started my job for the 24th of july we went to panguitch for the big celebration they have kid races each year and kinsey won for the second year in a row she s gotta be fast look who her mommy is she is fast watch out mommy i think your track records might be broken someday on the way home from panguitch we were able to stop in monroe at my mom and dads new house and see all the parsons side of the family august and september found us at many softball games and mandy getting more and more pregnant this pregnany has been a really hard one on her she is such a trooper i can t even begin to imagine all the pain she has been going through she is now approaching 40 weeks prego craaaazzzzy huh if everything goes the way it sounds we will have a new baby girl on october 5th so mandy keeps going on long walks to try and put herself into labor but i think all it does it hurt her really bad instead kinsey just keeps us going she is ready to be a big sister she kisses mommies belly and tells her sister good night she is so cute i have to share maybe one of her funniest moments of the summer kinsey went with mandy to one of her appointments early in september and this is how mandy told the story doctor is checking on mandy so she has kins up by her face to kins can t see anything kins says mommy can i have 30 mandy 30 what for in mean time doctor is laughing mandy doc stop laughing and be careful kins i wanna buy something mommy daddy after he hears the story great it begins already for her begging for money must take after her mommy well there is a little up date for us for the last few months i know i am leaving out a ton of stuff but for now we gotta
