home features fancy pants designs december project by kate blue sunday december 04 2022 as of this week i ve officially stepped down from the counterfeitkit challenge design team but that doesn t mean i ll be a stranger there my last project will be revealed on the 6th so for now i ve been thinking about a way to keep being encouraged to use my stash sickness has been recycling around our house for the last month so i haven t really created much but this week i ve been on the mend and was determined to change that my mojo to create in my various crafty groups hasn t returned so i decided to just counterfeitkit challenge blog but just in case you missed it my kit and my first project was a tag book i decided to dig into my tag box that probably had 100 tags in it and decided make something other than a layout i take part in a weekly thursday3 with kristin tweedale aka rukristin instagram where you take a weekly selfie on thursdays and share 3 thoughts that are on your mind at that time i decided to make mine into a tag book choosing 1 pic from each month in 2022 took me a day to make it so it was pretty easy once i started i painted each tag with acrylic paints then embellished each one with 49 market and simple stories washi tape rubons and laser cuts added my photos then went into my desk bash ket and filled in spaces with tim holtz idea ology dolls love them and word stickers blog today with the mini kit reveal and just in case you missed it our inspiration this month comes from a cherry on top and their august cherry box i showed more of the kit and decided this month to do a mini kit that way i d be more inclined to kill a kit i had the pleasure of meeting the creator of many of these lines katie pertiet since she lives in maryland so i always have 49th and market and simple stories in my stash loved all the leaves and butterflies in the collection so that s where i started this month instead of starting with paper like i normally do added in a few neutral papers so i can do either spring or fall type layouts and then i added in earthy and gold tone textures with laser cuts die cuts washi tapes and sewing notions for my creations hop over to the tina who chose the may 2022 kit called may 2022 round trip 12 x 12 add on kit by citrus twist kit club i was more drawn to the colors of the inspiration kit than the theme so i dug into all my vintage maggie collections mainly the shine collection i focused on making a small summer kit with pinks greens and florals i added a mix of summer elements from my maggie stash a pack of heidi swapp summer
