we are ready for our last prompt for your round robin quilt anja from anja quilts is leading the pack this week and what a fun prompt this is quilter s choice so the sky is the limit on what you do with your quilt so many great options but this is the time to finish your rounds with your favorite block or one you thought was missing from the stay at home round robin i can t wait to see what round 4 round 5 i also happened to see these and if you have making a lot of half square triangles there may be a formula that works for you with 16 at a time and 32 at a time half square triangles now if i remember i would starch the pieces so the bias edges behave but what a time saver you do have to trim so some people don t like this but if you are making a gazillion it is a time save i think oh and i also saw this that there are lots of tips blocks and tutorials are linked at phoebe moon something here could catch your fancy too my blocks i needed three blocks to finish my quilt the first block is called spinner and it certainly does there are spinner tools that remove and install nuts and bolts perfect for my gear theme this block is called is called a hammer block and i think that it was another great addition i don t really see a hammer in it but i can go with the flow i am a little disappointed in the way the light green looks in this block as it is much brighter in an earlier block interesting right this is a rolling stone block and i think it looks like gears so it made the cut it also reminds me that people can use things as tools and stones were among the first tools so it works can i tell you how it fussed at me while i made it first i finished the square in a square blocks then i trimmed one too short i made extra triangles and it worked out then i went to do the strip sets and cut purple and background and sewed them together no then i cut the green and sewed it to the background no finally i made it correctly what a lot of fuss for the last easy block my top i was not entirely convinced of the background but i auditioned it on the bed and i was pretty satisfied here is the beginning of my top and how it will be set the blocks are sewn to the background but the rows are not sewn together if days were just a little longer i would have had the whole top together you can see my plan here and i am pretty excited about it i go back and forth but i think the green inset border is needed you will have to wait until it is finished until you get to see it too what s next you get to finish your quilt and i get to finish mine we can show our
