ramadan and give your wealth in zakat perform hajj if you can afford to all mankind is from adam and eve an arab has no superiority over a non arab nor a non arab has any superiority over an arab also a white has no superiority over black nor a black has any superiority over white except by piety taqwa and good action learn that every muslim is a brother to every muslim and that the muslims constitute one brotherhood nothing shall be legitimate to a muslim which belongs to a fellow muslim unless it was given freely and willingly do not therefore do injustice to yourselves remember one day you will appear before allah and answer your deeds so beware do not stray from the path of righteousness after i am gone o people no prophet or apostle will come after me and no new faith will be born reason well therefore o people and understand words which i convey to you i leave behind me two things the quran and my example the sunnah and if you follow these you will never go astray all those who listen to me shall pass on my words to others and those to others again and may the last ones understand my words better than those who listen to me directly be my witness o allah that i have conveyed your message to your people reference see al bukhari hadith 1623 1626 6361 sahih of imam muslim also refers to this sermon in hadith number 98 imam al tirmidhi has mentioned this sermon in hadith nos 1628 2046 2085 imam ahmed bin hanbal has given us the longest and perhaps the most complete version of this sermon in his masnud hadith no 19774 one can heed words of wisdom and guidelines from the last sermon of the prophet saws his sermons emphasized on the following sacredness of a muslim s life and property the importance of propagating this message to all others a muslim s responsibility thus does not end by following the religion a reminder that everyone is fully accountable for their deeds and allah will take every person into account if everyone heeded to this fact alone the world would be a much better place today hurt no one so that no one may hurt you these words of the prophet are self explanatory the prohibition of dealing with interest numerous accounts in quran and hadith prohibit taking giving or being a part of any transaction dealing with interest you will neither inflict nor suffer any inequity these words of the prophet are self explanatory the awareness of satan and how satan can work to deviate us from the right path and doing evil things rights of women over men and rights of men over women treatment of women with kindness modesty and chastity in women the importance of worshiping allah saying your five daily prayers salah fasting during the month of ramadan giving charity zakat and performing pilgrimage hajj equality amongst all blacks white arabs non arabs etc the need to establish justice islam is the final divine religion last prophet and last book i just wish the world can hear this message and i wish all muslims and never did before i was floored by the number of visitors and where they are from sure my blog pales in comparison to the numbers of other blogs that are visited and continually maintained i only blog brothers and sisters i hope everybody is having a great day and that you made it a point to self reflect on your strengths and weaknesses as a person of faith if we strip away what religion we choose to follow people are the same everywhere i have found just as many good people in all places of the world i have been to thus far without talking about religion as i have found just as many bad people muslims are no different and in fact we follow the only religion where we are told nobody carries a higher place in the eyes of allah than the next in fact i don t know any muslims that don t know this but we still seem to be very prejudice we don t make it a habit to embrace brothers and sisters from wherever they came from and we don t give them an equal footing i am guilty of this and this past year i have made myself more cognizant of my weakness we have a lot of people who say they practice islam when in fact it is quite the contrary remember cultural customs traditions and national pride do not have a place in islam and in fact they can sway a person away from the right path sept 26 2014 the prejudice i face most days of the week are pretty much the stares i get from people who find it hard to believe that an asian man could marry an arab woman as if it is something haram we do make beautiful children masha allah and stereotyped as having a certain station in life when people find out i m japanese american and i m an engineer all the sudden i m rocketed way up on the social ladder and that it s ok that i married an arab woman in reality none of this stuff matters to me it s just duniya and the concerns of people who are just concerned with duniya i just go about my daily business with humbleness and get stuff done professionally and try my best to treat others with dignity regardless of their nationality and what they do for a living the best example of da awah is living it being ever mindful of allah and not wanting him to place me back from the place he took me from is a very good monitor to use to regulate oneself and interaction with duniya prejudice is un islamic but it is a fact of humans and this duniya we all have practiced it or experienced it in one shape or form it is a disease that will take your whole lifetime to battle if you can find it within yourself to rise above and battle it and keep the goal jennah in mind it will be better for you as it will be for me and all of us brothers and sisters we ve already got a very bad name in duniya for a bunch of things and prejudice is one of them because we have disenfranchised millions of brothers and sisters over the decades all because of prejudice we are responsible for the terror it is not as simple as i made it sound many other factors which you all can figure out for yourselves but prejudice starts in the heart of people and can only be defeated by the person who owns the heart treat him or her with genuine kindness and concern and you may in fact turn a bitter heart to one wonder about the title but i have to say that it is bad etiquette and sinful to enter the masjid for salah without first cleaning oneself and smelling good granted people work and do manual labor and getting dirty and sweaty is a product of effort but i see brothers who are in the domain of manual labor take the extra bit of time to clean themselves and not be offensive today for juma a salah every once in a while i would catch a whiff of someone s bad smell as if they went to the bathroom what do you do in this situation if you are victimized by someone s lack of concern and laziness i just kicked in sab r into over drive and hoped that once the sermon was over i could be afforded the chance to get away from the source of the wretched smell soap water and oil fragrances do wonders life was happening when i started this blog life has also changed i have changed i can truly say the man i was 5 years ago when i started writing in fb and in some publications is a totally different to do with my opening paragraph simple time time is a factor that life depends on only allah knows how much time you and i and every living thing and the universe and all that is in it has until we re called back home the time you we are allotted is to be used to live and to press to action deeds that will be weighed and measured for all that is bad and all that is good well i just won t do anything then bad choice you re gonna be asked what you did with your time doing nothing for allah is not something i would want to try to explain to him trying is better than not doing because the fact is it was your intent and will to do something for him in this duniya time is a factor that you do not own and life and its outcomes have a direct relationship with time and action you have some measure of control in this you can coast along in life and go with whatever comes in life like a billiard ball being smacked head on or as happenstance because another ball with some english on it careens into you to put you on some sort of planned or unplanned trajectory not always a good thing or you can make the command decision to do something in your life and shoot for goals to attain you have to work you have to maintain a household you have people relying on your actions to make a living so that they can live you re being looked at by family friends colleagues and even your enemies actually your actions are which can have a positive effect if it is in your heart to be and can be a catalyst to change the world around you in a better way by working by doing by being driven in your faith to be a better person in the eyes of allah the almighty out of love and honor and fear of him in your daily interactions with life you can affect the outcome of the time you have been given in decency 9 01 2014 saw something today on facebook that just rips my heart to pieces and this something is a photo that i cannot and will not describe here because it makes me angry beyond anything ever before do people who have groups on facebook and i am talking about brothers and sisters who post up daily sayings or something about islam and the ummah have any decency or conscience to not show the world shocking photos of atrocities out of respect for the victims and their families to go further people are clicking like on these photos as if it is a vote of approval that s what i thought a thumbs up meant and then you have all these brothers and sisters posting comments as to see who is the most pious in writing it makes me sick it makes me sick that people have the energy to post up grotesque photos and it makes me even sicker to see the lethargic and do nothings in the ummah do nothing but have a contest on who can put up the most pious comment this is just one symptom of the rot within the ummah allah have mercy on us all i truly hope that you do not support sites that do what i just said and if you see a post of something that does not give respect or human follow up a bad deed with a good deed which will wipe it out and behave well towards the people sounds simple enough right how many times have you caught yourself doing something out of character that was mean cold and did not reflect well on you and islam have you heard the saying that the first impression is everything i know i have and at least once a day i catch myself either in an act or thought that rips my deen up to shreds and just finding myself the next second wondering how it even happened in the first place and closely followed with asking for forgiveness and to separate me from that thing that caused me to be that way in the first place and then trying to make up for it with a genuine action from the heart yes this is a run on but i don t care because it is late and i
