good programming sesame street wasn t my choice of viewing but the program was a good babysitter where children actually learned something educational sesame street is owned by netflix so take that for what it s worth i loved watching pbs masterpiece theater the science programs and comedy shows like monty python and mr bean british television was always fun stuff the avengers dr who and the prisoner were classic science fiction programs news shows like american masters with bill buckley nova and washington week cooking shows like ciao italia america s test kitchen and the french chef finally my favorite show the hitchhikers guide to the universe that was back in the 1980 s today i don t recognize npr and pbs all these great programs are gone they went into the free markets and
