when a person takes information and images typically from other people and uses them to create a new identity for themselves i always thought it was fishing for good eats or grinds as we call ono delicious food here in hawai i apparently i m not up on the computer lingo as i thought i was eh i ve learned that a catfisher can steal another individual s identity including their image date of birth and geographical location and pretends that it is their own but wait i thought that was phishing well it is and it s done using sex it seems guys are most susceptible to what is also known as being a simp another term that has come about by males being led around by the wrong head in high school these were the guys that would obey anything a pretty girl would demand tie my shoes buy me a gift and who knows what else unsocial media is where much of this nonsense happens i often get friend requests from people i don t know so i check their profile to see who they are many of these friend requests are women that are clearly ai generated their profiles show they re not following anyone and they re not following anyone their profile is empty so why would an ai bot want to follow me ah why indeed my spidey sense tingles these bots use the direct message dm feature on these unsocial media platforms i never use dm s because they re not private messages even if the platform says your messages are encrypted the receiver can copy paste communiques and repost them for all to see there s no privacy in the digital world always with these bots the very first question is where are you from obviously they didn t read my profile annoying if they want to have a conversation put it where everyone can see just not in a dm artificial intelligence is now being used to catfish gullible victims i m amazed and amused how well it works here are these drop dead gorgeous images of fake digital ai people that suddenly are interested in knowing who i am maybe it s my upbringing but i was taught never to talk to strangers especially online in the movie blade runner the character rachel is an android a manufactured human stunningly beautiful but unaware that she was created in a laboratory the stuff of great science fiction stories i ve always been fascinated by stories of robots and computers so now art intimidates life this is where i can understand why some people spend a huge chunk of their time online searching for relationships i m too old and cantankerous to deal with human relationships let alone with computers i am impressed that artificial intelligence can mimic human behavior better than humans that s scary because information can be manipulated to spread disinformation the largest producer of disinformation is google the search engine giant that used to be a good source of information collection but now google has become too politicalized to be of use anymore i now use different search engines like duckduckgo and brave if i do use google i have to use many different search terms and plow through pages of search returns before i find what i am looking for this makes google useless in my opinion but that s not how google thinks because they are collecting meta data on people that use their products google s motto used to be don t be evil but google is evil mark dice analysis is precise on the dark side of google and artificial intelligence a single source point for information on the internet is a problem what i call a single point of failure and disinformation for me ai is a dangerous chameleon that people rely too much upon the speed of information is remarkable but at what cost for accuracy the old saying of garbage in garbage out goes without saying if search returns are useless but goggle is going beyond search engines with ai they re creating characters that are lifelike ai will eventually be self sustaining self developing adapting and creating almost near sentience i apply goggle and ai in the same meaning because of who invented the artificial intelligence engines there are two camps of people directing us into the ai universe there s elon musk who created the first ai application and larry page of google who has some nefarious plans using ai it s fairly ubiquitous as chatbot writing papers and making conversation but where is it heading when tucker carlson interviewed elon musk about ai and its future elon said google co founder larry page wanted to build a digital god i said we got to make sure humanity is ok here and then he called me a speciest musk said it s pretty clear to me who is on the side for good and evil ai can do thousands of computations in a nano second humans can t keep up with that at what point does ai move beyond humans i was struck by this conversation there is a division between ai used as either a benefit or a hazard if it s a benefit then it s not my problem as the character deckard said in the movie blade runner which leads me to ask does ai do good or bad if ai becomes the digital god as designed at what point does this digital god creation own those that create it at what point does ai consider humans a nuisance the central pacific hurricane center reports
