mr mrs berg monday august 11 2014 before the storm before the baby storm hit kevin and i enjoyed a few more summer outings and activities we did some swimming at sauve island and some night golfing at red tails and some bowling and arcade games thanks groupon with some great friends we did some painting and organizing for the baby room some shopping okay lots and lots of shopping say hello to the carseat and some swelling we did lots of swelling in the hot summer heat and of course some growing of a little human posted by katelyn and kevin at 11 48 pm no comments saturday july 26 2014 babymoon with the parents every year my parents have what they call a field day pretty much cow people as we refer to them as get together every summer at a location and they go to the different farmers in the area and look at the cows and have yummy food this year the field day was in bend or and so we decided we would meet up with my parents and make this our last hurrah and go and visit them and take advantage of the facilities they were staying at a resort that had lots of swimming pools and other things to do so we figured we could keep ourselves entertained while they went to look at cows we crashed on the pull out bed in their hotel room for the duration of there stay my parents headed out bright and early the next morning and kevin and i took our time deciding what to do the most popular and appealing hike smith rock state park was said to be a bit strenuous and being 35 weeks pregnant we weren t sure about it in the end we decided to try it and if it got to hard we would just turn around the first part of the hike wasn t too bad although i had to stop and take breaks frequently we then got to a point where it started getting much steeper as we started up the climb some older woman was sitting there taking a break and she told us to turn around and that i would never make it so i was then determined to make it it was rough to say the least or should i say miserable since the trail was called misery ridge we stopped a lot but the view from the top was very worth it i would probably do it again from the top you could see 8 mountain peeks ranging from sisters to mount hood we also were able to walk around monkey face which is a hot destination for rock climbers they were everywhere on this trail the second part of the hike was much easier all down hill or flat and we continued to casually stroll relax watch river otters laugh and talk by the end of the hike we were both exhausted though and dying of heat it was close to 100 outside anyways we got to the car and as soon as we opened the door my phone was ringing my parents on their little field trip were on a little tour of the area in a big bus the driver who was giving the tour had taken them to see smith rock he told them it was a very strenuous and hard hike and then they drove past our car my mother realized right away it was my car and started to panic she was calling to see if i was in labor from the hike nope nothing after the hike we went and got slushies from sonic and some lunch before heading back to the resort to swim and play with some extra friendly deer the only downside to the hike was my swollen limbs yikes that night we had a dinner and a show they talked about cows and then we headed back to the hotel for some shut eye the next day we checked out and went and got breakfast at black bear diner with my parents before departing our separate ways posted by katelyn and kevin at 11 40 pm no comments friday july 18 2014 timber s to make a long story short i sat by a bunch of huge portland timbers fans in my cluster at school needless to say always hearing them talk about the games made me realize that kevin and i needed to go to one while we were living here in portland so after a little ordeal within buying the tickets with the help of the timbers fans i bought tickets and kevin and i got to enjoy a nice evening out before baby came the best part they won posted by katelyn and kevin at 11 16 pm no comments saturday june 28 2014 idahome june 20 july 10 2014 being away from family means that when kevin has a break we usually spend it in idaho the best part about going to idaho is how no matter how long we are away and no matter how far away we are it always feels like home when we get there so after we got moved in to our new apartment kevin we quickly headed to idaho quickly because we were excited to get there and quickly because my grandma dial was getting sicker each day and i really wanted to see her before she passed away we got in friday afternoon and spent the day hanging out with my parents and then headed over to grandma and grandpa dials grandma had not really woken up that day and we spent some time trying to arouse her she never did open her eyes but we did get a few hand squeezes saturday my mom and becca planned a baby shower for me so we had a beautiful day spent with friends and family chatting away i am so grateful for all my wonderful family and friends and all the support we got for little man sunday morning we were watching 17 miracles with my family when my dad received a call from my grandpa and he quickly rushed out the door we soon realized it was not good news and we all were devastated by the news as a family we had had a family fast for her to pass quickly and peacefully which is exactly what she did on that morning my dad made it up there just in time to say his goodbyes sunday was then spent gathered with family and remembering what a wonderful sweet lady grandma dial was she is missed dearly the blanket grandma jan made for little man after grandma s passing annalee decided to make the long drive out to idaho for the funeral although the circumstances were not ideal we were happy to have the peterson s coming home and since annalee came home we decided to sneak in family pictures and have some birthday parties my grandma s funeral was planned for that saturday which also happened to be right in the middle of grandma terribilini s 90th birthday party lot s of tears were shed due to the fact that i was needed to be in two places at once after lots of discussion with my parents we decided that i should head to grandma t s birthday party since we do not know how much longer we would be able to see her it was really hard missing my grandma s funeral and as i said there were tears shed for days friday we headed to utah and enjoyed dinner at olive garden with grandma berg and pat and stacey saturday morning we got up bright and early to head to antimony utah pat and stacey had rented a van and carly chance kevin craig pat stacey and i all rode to antimony together about 4 hours on our way to salt lake from ogden to pick up craig i started feeling sick in the car feeling sick was still quite normal i tried the typical roll down the window to get some cool air trick it didn t do anything to help but it did notify the others that i wasn t feeling well kevin frantically started looking for a bag mind you we are in a rental so there is nothing then i remembered seeing a grocery sack in the pocket behind the seat i found it just in time it was then kevins turn to unroll the window because as he stated it stunk really bad in the back luckily the rest of the drive went much smoother we arrived at rockin r ranch in antimone utah on the fourth of july after getting settled into our room we shared with carly and chance we had lunch and since i wasn t feeling to well i ended up relaxing in the room kevin and i then spent the day doing archery riding the canoe playing games and ended it with a firework shows over a lake the next day kevin went horseback riding with some of his family and we attempted to go tubing by attempt i mean it was pouring rain and when i saw lightning i chickened out and decided to stay back and let the others go before we knew it our time was up and we headed back to idaho we had planned on going straight back to oregon after that since i was 32 weeks pregnant now and they wanted to start monitoring me twice a week non stress tests but since annalee was home we asked if we could stay an extra week and spend
