genres whilst maintaining its reliance on the social argument and potential complexity that could give the work its place among enduring literature i like the idealist the protagonist of minus one mathis but i love the fearless sisters miya and rei they made the book for me mark kolody s got something going on and i m interested to check out the disrupted and any other fiction he cares to share our world is headed in some kind of direction and the rare fiction that not only accepts this but interrogates it and even manages to offer solutions all whilst giving readers joy is my type of fiction science fiction doesn t have to be the real deal but when it is the world improves freya k gripping and captivating i was throughly impressed by minus one pretty early into the opening chapter and it s a novel that remains gripping and captivating the entire way through the story takes place in the near future where a cast of various characters struggle under the weight of what the world has become this book had some of the best written physical fight scenes i ve ever read along with that over the course of the novel you really grow to care about the characters in a way that only truly accomplished writing can cause you to parts of this book being set in japan made me reflect on my own time there and i think one thing kolody does really well is extending an established culture into the future and projecting new habits and patterns of existence if you are thinking about this book i can without any reservations recommended it to you it s a fabulous read fiona a thrilling emotional and complex story this book had me hooked from start to end the characters were rich and believable and i became so emotionally invested in their story the twists and turns of the plot were brilliantly thought out and kept me on my toes desperate to find out more the dual setting was also fantastic and i really felt like i was there with the characters experiencing everything as they were i ve not read a book by this author before but this was enough to convince me to keep tabs on whatever else they write the nuances and messages presented in the story were brilliant and i can guarantee this story will stay with me for a long time to come i would highly recommend this to readers who favour any genre as there really is something for everyone charles m thrilling techno drama
