bird songs saturday november 6 2010 the lost boy bon nuit how was everyone s halloween mine was alright i d had hopes of either going raving or having a ginormous party but clearly neither of those worked out my cousin carrissa was in town so i ended up spending halloween night with her my mother and my stepdad i know you re all thinking about what a daredevil i am i m pretty outrageous after all so i knew that i wanted to be a zombie this year but what i hadn t realized was that nobody i was with wanted to dress up with me and i mean zombies mostly have to do with makeup am i right unfortunately i had thrown away my only bottle of fake blood how unfortunate so i was a vegetarian zombie i guess i almost sulked and didn t do my makeup but then i sucked it up when i concluded that people generally don t react well to seeing full on zombie makeup during the holidays e g thanksgiving and christmas so i threw on a leather jacket and looked totally bad arse i felt like the lost lost boy who aside from being a vampire is also a zombie however that works so we ended up just walking around the town and not being able to trick or treat because of our age who makes up these rules anyway so unfair anyway i didn t really take any pictures but you ll have to take my word about my makeup being totally awesome i bought liquid latex and peeled it all around to make it look like my family and i have begun our 21 days of raw journey so far it s been near unbearable and i totally gorged on raw cheesecake at whole foods today i thought i d post pictures of all the things i am violently craving at the moment to either 1 ease my withdrawls or 2 add to them here it goes craving 1 pepple s vegan donuts in san francisco by far the best donuts i have ever tasted in the entire history of my life i could literally eat five at a time any one of the intensely magically wondrous flavors would suffice caramel flavored mushroom icing anyone i ll take a dozen photo cred yelp com craving 2 crepes omfg need i say more photo cred closet cooking blogspot com craving 3 delilah bakery blta sandwich in echo park world s best sandwich hands down photo cred kraftrecipes com craving 4 the most incredible chili i ve ever had my mother s photo cred breezymama com craving 5 trader joe s pumpkin bread mix i made this with my bff kateislate blogspot com a few weeks ago with homemade whipped cream and it was to die for it was incredibly moist and flavorful and made me feel like autumn was actually here instead of this incessant warm weather photo cred wineimbiber com and yes i am readers if there are any of you left that actually do read this sad little blog of mine let me apologize for being so unfaithful in blogging i could make up all kinds of excuses like being too busy not having anything to post about being depressed with the new blogger layouts what is up with those and does anyone know how to change it to the old ones etc but what it really comes down to is me not making the time to write once or twice a week to share something about myself or post fun pictures about what i ve been up to or write about the things that are truly important to me not to mention that blogging is a killer way to vent so what i m going to try to do now is keep up with this blog and hopefully make it more successful and meaningful and consistent hopefully all is not lost
