home lingbo s homepage lingbo tong home research teaching misc i am an incoming assistant professor starting in fall 2026 in educational psychology at the university of wisconsin madison i earned my joint ph d in quantitative psychology and computer science and engineering at the university of notre dame in 2025 advised by prof zhiyong johnny zhang and prof meng jiang prior to that i received my b s in computer science and technology from sichuan university in 2020 my research develops psychometric and computational methods for understanding psychological and behavioral processes drawing on machine learning natural language processing nlp and computational social science i m interested in ai enhanced psychometrics latent variable models integrating text and survey data data simulation with large language models llms causal inference with text data understanding ai through psychometrics measurement frameworks for evaluating llms validity reliability and fairness response style and behavioral patterns i enjoy interdisciplinary collaborations and frequently work with researchers in education health and wellbeing and digital culture feel free to email me at lingbo dot tong at wisc dot edu if interested
