character s sense of time and her memories the way she describes the passage of time sounds awfully similar to how you ve been describing yours i just don t recommend reading it right now cus it can mess with your head i m bipolar and read it while i was manic and in a psychotic crisis not fun hope u feel better soon thank u for the suggestion i ll save this for later i really enjoy stories with association similarly felt sensations and thoughts will be grouped with each other into clusters and then the times stack on top of each other as more material accumulates example feeling really sick flashbacks to times when i was really sick before the times overlap each other and are perceived concurrently sicktime becomes a collection of all previous experiences and the times themselves pile up and replay over and over it s common for memories of times from longer ago to feel more recent because the memories themselves hold more powerful feelings or sensations which then overrides the chronology of the memories themselves right now i feel sick to a similar extent that i did when i was really sick in 2023 now feels closer to 2023 than any of my memories from 2025 do i wonder if a something to you where your sense of time and reality becomes completely destroyed all days blend into each other and day and night aren t different because you sleep during both it feels simultaneously like each day goes by in a blur and like each moment is agonizingly drawn out the brain fog and sense of memory and distinction between dreams and reality and thoughts also becomes blurred an in between state of being i often fall asleep while listening to audiobooks or videos and their audio seeps into my dreams where i can still hear them the state of half consciousness inside a dream where you become lucid enough to recognize that it s a dream and recognize the audio being from the external world but somehow also not lucid enough to fully distinguish between which parts of the dream are internally generated and what parts of audio are produced by the mind itself within the dream world i often hear phrases or sentences while in the hypnagogic state are they my own thoughts an unsure unstable shapeless feeling where any of my own internal perceptions are not necessarily inherently perceived as my own but somehow still almost anything feels plausible because of
