glorious exmoor countryside little quarme cottages and weddings offers six self catering holiday cottages in a superb secluded south facing location with breathtaking panoramic views across exmoor the cottages are within easy walking distance over the fields of wheddon cross village which has a pub and well stocked shop local landmarks include dunkery beacon the highest point on exmoor dunster medieval village porlock with its famous hill weir and marsh as well as minehead which has a beautiful sandy beach and lots of independent shops please note from june 7th to july 4th we are having the games room extended and renovated for some days access will be limited this only applies 0900 1700 weekdays we have stayed here on a number of occasions in different cottages the accommodation is fabulous spotlessly clean comfortable beds and with everything you need included the owners katherine and nick are friendly and welcoming they go out of their way to ensure our stay is perfect the cream tea on arrival is such a treat after a long drive set in beautiful grounds with lovely walks from the cottage there is a local shop and pub doing food a short walk across the fields there are loyalty discounts for returning customers and we keep returning what a brilliant place to stay the cottage is lovely and clean and the cream tea on arrival was excellent we were lucky with the weather and views around the cottages are fabulous we brought our horse with us and katherine kindly rode out with ruth on a couple of mornings the app that nick and katherine have done is is brilliant they have went to a considerable effort to give guests a lot of information on exmoor and the surrounding area it was very much appreciated an excellent venue with lovely hosts and we have booked up again for next year for a holiday the cottages are in a fantastic location well equipped and spotlessly clean for a wedding you will not find another venue that takes as much interest and guides you through the planning process with such a calm and reassuring wisdom the great thing about a wedding at little quarme is that you can build your day how you want it to look which feels like a lot of work but gives such brilliant results our guests were all amazed at the location and when the sun came out in the evening we were given an even more beautiful backdrop for our photos thank you both for helping us have the day of our dreams we have just returned from a wonderful stay in exford cottage the cottage was spotless and had everything we needed for our stay from cream teas on arrival to a clean tidy and well stocked kitchen lounge area bedroom and bathroom and a gated front garden the gardens were immaculately kept and the views were stunning the whole site situated in the heart of exmoor our hosts nick and katherine were always on hand should we need them and the cottage contained a wealth of information on exmoor the walks and local amenities dogs are allowed for a small fee and our small dog molly enjoyed a whole field to run around in adjacent to the cottage these cottages are ideal for exploring the surrounding area being virtually situated in the middle of exmoor we have returned on several occasions and will continue to do so in the future for those who are looking for a high standard of accommodation in a tranquil setting and as a base for exploring exmoor and the surrounding countryside this is an ideal spot highly recommend it excellent stay at little quarme cottages we aim to offer you a relaxing and peaceful holiday at little quarme cottages and weddings exmoor each self catering cottage has a private garden or patio with outdoor furniture amid well kept gardens and surrounded by our organic farmland where guests are free to roam and children to friendly we have oodles of outdoor space to roam as well as direct access to footpaths and bridleways your children will love paddling and fishing in the ford just along the bridleway at the bottom of our fields we also have a barn games room with table tennis table football and small pool table little quarme is an ideal spot for groups to celebrate milestone birthdays wedding anniversaries and special occasions as the individual cottages offer privacy with the gardens and barn just perfect for socialising the self catering cottages are a convenient base for walking cycling or riding
