y the plastik tulip wasabi pills appreciation april 22 2013 by liz 0 i had planned to do a post on an absolutely gorgeous dress i purchased at zaara but since i have this photo ready right now i thought i d go ahead and post this first i haven t worn system layers in quite some time today i was bumming around my house low on lindens as usual and i got a group notice from sweet distractions saying that anybody who came to the store before 5 pm slt would get to pick out one free item like i said i typically stick with mesh but i saw this little polka dot swimsuit and i felt a little nostalgic thank you to tocy at sweet distractions for my new bikini i haven t worn a swimsuit in ages and it inspired me to actually get a little blogging done tonight you can t go wrong with that so with my new swimsuit on and the necklace that i had been wearing with the dress from zaara i started bouncing around the grid looking for a place to take a picture i found the cave rua water gardens have been a bit busy in rl plus i ve been low on lindens and uninspired on top of that it seems like every time i go to take pictures i fall asleep at the computer anyway i ll try to get more posts out back to back over the next few days after the shopping spree i ve just been on yes it was obscene i made the rounds today to the usuals coldlogic for the dress slink for the shoes earthstones for the jewelry izzie s for the makeup my hair today is the vibrato hair from lelutka i ve never owned hair from lelutka before even though i ve seen the dos on all the sl fashion blogs i just haven t been moved to go there for hair but today i gave it a shot i m pleased with the result by the way you aren t mistaken if you think i look a bit different shape wise i ve also been tweaking my shape for the last few days i only made slight changes to my face but i am much taller now i didn t like how short i was coming up in photos i ve only been using this shape for about a month so it s still experimental i had used my old shape for almost the entirety of my time in second life and i just wanted a change sorry for the lazy editing job on the closeup we ve got some weird weather here and i crimarizon i wanted something a little dark but unmistakably fantasy and for the colors to pop without creating chaos i was wearing something completely different an hour before these pictures were taken but somehow what i had originally picked out evolved into a boatload of purple purple lipstick purple earrings purple pants purple shoes purple hair i was fresh out of lindens so i was also at the mercy of my inventory or freebies which i didn t use to put this look together i think for my next post i ll try to put together a color themed look without spending lindens as well we ll see every phone i ve taken lately has been more exciting than the last i started this blog intending for it to mostly be fashion and maybe a little bit of sightseeing and i ve fallen in love with taking and editing photos in the process yes i edit my photos which has probably been obvious i have saved the raw photos and intend to get them up on flickr but i just haven t gotten around to it yet i don t make changes to the integrity of the clothing and if i do i will let you know most of the photos start out quite dark so i do some color correction and a little smoothing blur iwarp in gimp either way i ll get flickr updated in the next couple of days i started to put this outfit together with the oversized top from ison previously collabor88 but with the taupe instead of the white but when i tried to coordinate with other items in my inventory it just turned into a messy clash of different shades of rose and taupe i then discovered the margot ballet slippers in eggplant from slink unpacked in my objects folder and after i saw just how wonderfully vibrant and purple they were i decided to base everything around them instead i don t wear purple very often so i was a tad shocked by how many goodies i found just by searching my inventory with the word purple another treasure buried deep in my objects folder was the brooks capri pant from coldlogic in purple of course the ison oversized top doesn t come in purple which would have been overkill anyway i chose the white top for contrast i apologize for not providing a full body photograph facing forward as i m writing this i just realized that i didn t even take one i may decide to add one later but it s 4 a m and i just cannot muster it right now if there are questions regarding the pieces i m wearing from the front view to use the avatar enhancements but the skin that i use most often doesn t have a hud out for them yet in fact i didn t have any recent skins from any of the places listed on the slink avatar enhancement system customer information page so i just picked a link at random and went to izzie s shown is izzie s geanna skin in sunkissed i wish i had found izzie s sooner i feel so sweet and adorable in this skin now i can stop fussing over tinting my mesh feet i was on a bit of a budget after the skin purchase so i slipped on the aussie thongs in white that i bought a couple of weeks ago i hadn t really had a chance to check out the new items at collabor88 this month so i went over there to check things out i simply grabbed the first dress that rezzed for me which happened to be this mesh tentacle dress in acid lake by the sea hole i knew i wanted this dress before i went there i just didn t know which color i love how clean and flawless this dress is some mesh is just crap so it often at all i am in the liv glam group so once in a while i check out the group gifts but i don t spend l there often it s just more her style than it is mine she got me to go over to liv glam with her a couple of days ago to snag some group gifts the group is 500l to join so i decided to go ahead and take advantage of my membership i grabbed a dozen or so items and this claudia balloon dress was maybe the third liv glam gift item that i unpacked it comes with a hud with twelve texture options i went with the paisley i wouldn t say that i love this dress i do find it interesting and i think that might be even better finding the other pieces to go with it was a little out of the box for me but it was more fun than meandering around in my usual fashion safe zone i may even see what
