fun plans for this weekend i m going to go to my first escape the room puzzle with tiff and jess from twinny shoppe for those of you who have never heard of one before apparently you re trapped in a room for an hour and you try and figure out whatever puzzles are in the room before the time runs out since this is my first one i m not entirely sure what to expect but i m excited to give it a try today i ve got the new zoya focus collection to share this half of the new fall collection consists of six lovely cremes more below here is zoya desiree one coat this is a dark cool toned brown shade the formula was really great on this one and any one coater is impressive to me this polish is a lot darker on the nail than it looks in the bottle zoya charli two coats this is a green leaning taupe shade when i first unpackaged it i thought it was a grey with a green undertone but it ended up looking like this on the nail the formula was really great and opaque this is a perfect fall shade for me as it is dark green but still taupey enough to remain neutral i feel like as a community we don t really spend a lot of time talking about how we pair nail polish with outfits and i know that a lot of you don t really care if your nails match or compliment your clothing i don t blame ya but in case anyone is interested i ll share with you how i pair these polishes when i wear them out in public so here is what i paired charli with a black floral lace top and jeans i find this to be a really great match because the polish is neutral and also because the dark hues of the polish matched really well with the black top without literally wearing black nail polish also i think this would look amazing with a black top and green pants like this outfit below but perhaps that would be too matchy matchy outfit photo from http seamsforadesire com zoya hannah two coats if i m being honest this polish threw me off a bit is this a lovely shade of red yes does it have an amazing formula that s opaque and easy to work with indeed is it a fall color i dunno about that this bright red comes off as bright and summery to me in fact i paired it with a bright blue and white dress for a pop of color in my outfit i m not sure who this image belongs to since i got it off of pinterest and the link led me to some spam site sorry in similar vein to this outfit unfortunately i don t own bright red shoes or a purse so i used this nail polish for the pop of color instead zoya sia two coats first photo is in the sun and the second photo is indoors this is very pigmented royal blue shade i love this shade of blue for fall as it s on the boundary of bright but doesn t come off as super summery like hannah kind of does zoya lidia two coats this polish is a dark eggplant color i can t think of a shade that reminds me more of fall polish colors if you don t have an eggplant plum polish for this fall i highly recommend this one zoya janel compared to hannah this red has a warm tone and is much darker this one screams fall to me much more i must say i m a bit disappointed that zoya decided to make two red creams instead of including another color perhaps a true green shade but overall i really like this collection and can t recommend these polishes enough if you re looking for fantastic formula and very opaque polish these are truly a creme polish lover s dream you can pick up the comments labels review zoya friday july 31 2015 relearning to gradient hi all somewhere along the way of my blogging nail polishing hiatus i forgot how to create a proper gradient it took me likely over 10 sponging attempts to get this looking passable and even then i had to cover it with some stamping because i wasn t completely happy with the fade it s likely going to take me a while to relearn the technique despite my difficulties i ended up being quite delighted with this manicure this is two coats of a england her rise adagio for the pink leaning silver shimmery base i used a make up sponge to apply a gradient using both her rise adagio and a bit of cirque vesuvius finally i topped it off with konad stamping polish in black using a design from the konad m60 plate thanks for with bundle monster s shangri la square nail plate here s a snippet of some nail art i did using bundle monster s new shanri la square stamping plates i have never tried a full art stamping plate before and i must say i really love it you can go over the same spot to get the same design or you can use different part of the plate to get matching but different patterns the possibilities are wonderful here i used two coats of zoya cecilia and bm s107 with konad stamping polish in black the plate design transferred well and i m rather glad i picked up the whole collection the entire with zoya paradise sun happy monday all i m so exhausted from doing concentrated lab work this afternoon blah hope everyone else had a slightly less exhausting day here s a look you can recreate using two polishes from the new zoya paradise sun collection first apply three coats of zoya genesis once this has dried use a floral stamping plate i used pueen 22 with zoya mae to add flowers add some top post unfortunately i have tendinitis in one of my wrists which made it really difficult to polish but i ve been undergoing physical therapy and have gained a lot of movement back so without further excuses here is the second half of zoya s new summer collection for 2015 paradise sun to see the other half consisting of six creams you can check out my post on the island fun this half of the collection offers six shimmery shades that are nearly perfectly aligned with their cream counterparts zoya genesis three coats this is a pretty white shimmery shade it was pretty opaque after three coats but i found it a little streaky to work with though i don t have an opaque shimmery white in my collection so i m happy to have this one zoya isa two coats this could have been one coat and the formula was amazing on this purple base with deep blue shimmer i ended up wearing this one during my afk days from nail polishing because of the injury and it had a lot of staying power however and i haven t seen anyone else reporting this my bottle stank to high hell it smelled absolutely awful and i have sampled many polishes scents in my day but anyway i liked the polish despite the terrible smell zoya mae two coats this is a warm magenta pink shimmer polish not much to say about it good formula in an unexciting color zoya aphrodite three coats this one is a little less opaque than the other colored shimmers it s a really bright red that has that glow from within look to it it does lean a little orange like the cream from the other half of the collection the formula was good zoya selene two coats this is a teal color that s leaning a little too green in this picture it does remind me of a shimmery and lighter version of a england st george which is one of my favorite polishes of all time the formula was good zoya oceane two coats this is a metallic turquoise shimmer i had trouble with the formula on this one being a little runny but it was nice and opaque otherwise overall i am really happy with these shimmers i am especially happy to be adding a pretty new white simmer into my collection you can check out and order the collection from zoya s website for 9 a piece share to pinterest no comments labels review zoya friday may 15 2015 zoya island fun summer 2015 collection swatches and review hi all this lovely friday evening i ve got half of zoya s new summer collection for 2015 called island fun to show you all this half of the collection consists of beautiful and bright cream polishes all swatches were taken indoors and i used one coat of venique gel like base coat and one coat of out the door top coat zoya cecilia two coats i suppose there s no reason not to start with my favorite polish from this half of the collection cecilia is a lovely teal cream zoya talia one coat although a lot of polishes in this collection approached almost complete opacity with one coat this was the only one that i was able to apply with just one coat isn t it beautiful i love this bright shade of blue zoya jace two coats jace is almost like a dark lime green i wasn t really a huge fan of this one it s too murky of a green for my liking i would pass on this one but maybe greens like this strike your fancy zoya serenity two coats i also really adore serenity which is gorgeous bright purple polish i did some nail art with this one that i will be showing you all later zoya demetria two coats sorry for the weird lighting but taking pictures of really bright red nail polish is actually pretty challenging in a bunch of my other pictures it came out looking really orange but i digress demetria is a bright red polish it s a staple for any polish collection a nice bright red zoya nana two coats this is a deep fuchsia color and very opaque i think it s a flattering summer color it reminds me of a non jelly version of zoya paloma the formula on all of the polishes was perfect i highly recommend this collection you can check out and order the
