that maddie lost her tooth so i asked him to take pics and email me i ll take a better picture tomorrow i just wanted to document the milestone now p labels lost tooth picture 0 comments maddie s 1st day at mdm 6 13 2011 04 18 00 pm by char yes i m back i think p i wanted to add maddie s latest milestone school it was her first day today it was hard waking her up she whined when i told her it was time for school she said she didn t want to go because she was too sleepy p i had to talk to her sweetly give her a hug and encourage her to get ready she ate a bowl of cereal before we left i didn t bother packing a snack for her since her class was only 1½ hours long p when i dropped her off she was teary eyed 0 it was hard to leave her i brought her to her classroom and she shed a couple tears when i told her it was time for a picture she wiped her tears and smiled p crazy girl i m glad that she knew at least one person in her class i convinced my friend to change her daughter s schedule to the morning class good thing she said ok labels friends school stuff 0 comments lesson for the day read before you sign 8 05 2010 10 41 00 pm by char melo tricked maddie into signing the above contract by saying she would become a princess if she did p then he explained what it said and she totally lost it she cried like crazy when she finally calmed down she noticed that melo posted it on facebook she started crying again grrr then she said she wanted to go to the u s tomorrow i told her that she had no passport so she said she wanted melo to go far away p such a dramatic lil diva sheesh melo wrote the contract cause she said that she liked his friend p anyways we were pretty busy today we went with santi and his friend to manila chicken chicken and a scooter place near csb moa then cebu pacific i had to get dropped off straight to work cause it was kinda traffic while santi and his friend were in the conference room at smx i took pics of maddie she loved posing near the x i ll post the pics tomorrow labels family picture 1 comments hello august 8 01 2010 12 50 00 am by char yes i know i haven t been updating this again p time seems to go by so fast now can t believe it s almost christmas again it ll be maddie s 5th birthday next month then our wedding anniversary in october we have two scheduled trips boracay towards the end of august and davao in october can t wait homeschool has been more of unschooling we don t do worksheets everyday we usually turn everyday things into lessons like when we go to the grocery she learns math concepts like adding and subtracting when she wants to buy things asks for money usually for gum making a purchase etc she also gets to practice her writing when she writes down the grocery list p we also practice reading when i see things she can read in the newspaper while shopping or even when we go with santi when he has to do his banking 30 june 2010 homeschool as for mick he joined the photography club so he s been taking pictures and editing them i don t have the pics he edited but i ll post them soon using the other laptop he s very creative guess he got that from his dad p i was able to meet his teachers last month and i talked to his filipino teacher explaining our situation i explained that he we ve been moving back and forth ever since he was born so he doesn t understand even basic filipino well p we all had our first annual physical friday and yesterday santi maddie and i went to festival around 1pm and didn t finish til 7 hours later p maddie didn t wanna get her blood drawn at first but i bribed her with stickers p the medtech was really good when he drew blood from me i didn t feel it at all santi too as for maddie she just said ah when she watched the needle go in but that was it they only had one physician checking out all the people who were there for their annual physicals so we probably finished around 5ish then i wanted to check out the pedodontist since maddie finally agreed to see a dentist plus she had a toothache maddie seemed to forget about her traumatic experiences with the dentist in the u s when she had her teeth checked she was distracted by the t v plus the pedodontist was great i loved how she explained everything thoroughly in the u s the dentist didn t tell me what exactly they did i just knew that she needed fillings but they didn t mention that one was really deep they filled it all the way up to the pulp 0 unfortunately it was unsuccessful cause now there s a bit of an infection under so it has to be extracted the good thing about the new pedodontist is that they can sedate children i wish they did that to maddie when she was younger so at least she wouldn t be traumatized now only bad thing is my health insurance doesn t cover pedodontists so it ll be expensive to get maddie s teeth fixed she also has 5 small cavities that needed fillings 0 i think we ll take her to another dentist who doesn t believe in drastic procedures saturday was mick s turn for a physical since had school on friday and since saturday was the last day for our annual physicals i decided to take him as soon as the clinic opened it turned out to be a good idea since we were outta there after an hour and a half he s 5 feet and 116 pounds we went to asian hospital after since i was planning to donate blood to a friend who needed it for an upcoming surgery for some reason asian didn t have any blood available so she had to look for donors that were type o let me just say that i was very disappointed with asian hospital s blood donor procedure my friend went there and even called to find out the procedure yet when we got there they wanted to test her then have the donors come back after 3 hours to get tested total waste of time we ended up going to festi for lunch we all bought jeans then we went back to the hospital they finally gave us forms to fill out then they interviewed us they drew a blood sample and told us to come back after an hour to find out the results if we were a good match then they d take blood from us by that time it was already past 2pm and we needed to be at a children s party by 3pm in quezon city we got home by 3pm then went straight to the party so i still don t know if i m a match if i am i ll just go back to donate i sooo miss the u s when it comes to things like this you schedule an appointment get there a bit earlier get called at your appointment time then you re outta the doctor s or dentist s office after 30 minutes or so could take longer depending on what you need to do but it most certainly won t take you labels dentist doctor mick picture school stuff update 1 comments homeschool day 1 6 17 2010 10 52 00 pm by char i ve been a bit busy this week looking for gifts and a dress for a wedding tomorrow we also went to a kiddie party at sm southmall last sunday i tried looking for stuff while we were there but since it was a long weekend and since it was the last weekend before the start of school everyone just happened to be there too p i took maddie to festival mall yesterday to get some school supplies lots of people around 2pm i wanted to leave by 3pm so i could cover mick s books before i went to work maddie had fun picking out her stuff gotta get more school supplies and posters for her classroom aka the girls room p anyways i wanted to homeschool her since last year i guess it was more of an unschooling approach last year p i had her sing spell read and write ssrw kit and also something for math but we just used it when she felt like it she practiced writing whenever we went grocery shopping it was her job to write down what we needed as for reading we try to read to her as much as possible she knew all the letters and sounds and she kinda knew how to blend sometime last week she wanted to read by herself so i gave her the first book from the ssrw kit she was able to read most of the book she can read 3 4 letter words she wants to read more books so we also tried looking for some at festival i got her one gotta go again to find more ü i gotta say i m more excited about homeschooling her this year than last year we ll see what happens p gotta enroll her in ballet again once they re done renovating her ballet school gotta get the piano tuned as well because she wants to take lessons as for mick he said his class and teachers are ok but he said he ll probably fail filipino this year since he has a strict teacher i think i ll have to talk to her soon or write her a letter oh and before i forget happy 3rd birthday julia i still owe you a gift p i ll school stuff update wedding 2 comments boring 6 10 2010 11 50 00 am by char nothing much has happened since my last post just the usual work eat sleep wake up cause it s so hot etc p the weather has been weird sometimes it s nice and cool and some days it s hot then it would rain for 10 30 minutes and it would be cool again mick has been outta the house for the past couple of days he had a friend sleep over one night at least he s not in front of the pc the whole day p his first day of school is next wednesday as for maddie she usually sticks by me santi or her loola ü think we re gonna watch we didn t do much we stayed home and i played zombies vs aliens p santi went to the fountain breeze in the afternoon til 9pm i think i was supposed to go to gail s bridal shower but i had no car santi and i just went to lili s birthday party along bicutan we had a good time eating drinking and laughing today maddie and i went to tita susan s house to pick up tessa s necklace from the u s got there around 2 30pm j p mentioned that there was a store nearby that sold really good nuggets so we stopped by to pick up a few packs before heading to the fort we finally picked up the pics from the picture company we ended up eating at texas roadhouse before going home i was able to rest for 30 minutes or so before going to work p s i ll update this post with the scanned pics from the picture
