mama bear s thoughts skip to main skip to sidebar mama bear s thoughts love followers thursday january 14 2016 very long time it s been a very long time since i have written on this blog it was before we moved from dayton to bradner we moved here 2 years ago this past november the move was extremely hard but is so much for the better we are slowly working on the house the best we can we put in laminate flooring as the house had horrible filthy carpets we painted all the walls have done a lot of landscaping we still have some to do but it looks so much better than it did my health has been pretty crappy but things could be worse i suppose i spent a week in the hospital at christmas last year 2014 i was the diagnosed with copd they called it a pneumonia copd exaberation never even knew i had copd i smoked for about 6 mos back in 1999 but only smoked a few a day they think it is from second hand smoke from childhood and from my hubby he no longer smokes and hasn t since 2007 he has severe copd i also had a c diff infection since the month before i was in the hospital we never could get it healed up with medications and ended up having a transplant for it in july 2015 my grand daughter was the donor for me i owe that sweet girl my life as i was so sick and immune suppressed i have some really great doctors up here in the toledo area my daughter and grandchildren who live across from my house have been such a blessing to david and i they keep us both more active and happy we take them to school and pick them up cooper will be 9 in march sydney is 13 and morgan is 15 taylor will be 21 in march and lives in bowling green with room mates i have been diagnosed with drop foot in both feet and need custom braces for both legs i just have to come up with the funds to purchase them my medicare deductible has to be paid and the 20 co pay so now i just need to win the lottery lol i will look like forest gump if and when i can get them my foot specialist doesn t seem to think i will be able to walk much longer as i have lost so much muscle and strength in my legs from the neuropathy i am hoping to prove him wrong but need the braces to help lots of other things have happened this past 2 years but will close for now wonder if anyone will read this i know i have been terrible but with all the changes illness depression from those i just have not felt like so much i didn t get a chance to say goodbye there s been no closure for me i want the phone to ring one more time and see her number on my caller id and to hear her say hi debbie i want to tell her i love her i miss her and want her back i know god is taking good care of her but i am selfish i want just one more call from her i want to say goodbye i hope you knew momma that i loved you dearly she daughter taylor graduated high school i so remember the day she was born i was there in the room with my daughter when taylor was born i took one look at her and fell so in love with my new grand daughter she made me a grandmother nanny at the young age of 39 when i saw her walk to get her diploma that love was only larger she makes me so very proud she will be attending bowling green university this year where she plans to be a doctor or doctor s assistant that was on june 2nd we stayed a week up at my daughters then as my older daughter who lives in mississippi and her 3 beautiful children stayed also we had a absolute blast we came home for a week then went back up there for her graduation party it was on the 22nd we cooked all the food for it and i made 240 cupcakes with my grand daughter morgan s help my son and his son came up that week and stayed so again we stayed a week to say june was tiring is a understatement it took a week of rest to get caught up then in july i had my surgery where they went down and injected botox into 2 places inside my stomach for the achalashia and the gastroparesis when i woke up i was in a full blown active asthma attack i took some hits off my inhaler they gave me oxygen and they sent me home i no longer got home that i started wheezing again sneezing coughing like crazy my nose was swollen twice it s size my eyes were crazy i am allergic to botox i looked and felt absolutely miserable it lasted for days my stomach felt better for about 3 4 days and then that was it back to all the stomach problems my doc said no more botox i see him on monday to see what s next then we learned we are once again losing our house due to crap from bank of america and all the wrong they have done us so we decided to just give in so we will be turning the house over to them by november 1st we are going to move up to my daughter s town a 1 light town called bradner ohio this is near bowling green toledo area where we will be doing a land contract on a house across the street from her it s much smaller so i have been selling a lot of things that will not fit this house is half the cost of the house we have here i will be in the country with corn fields behind me and to the left of me cows right down the street small town farming usa my daughter is going to work now and i will be able to help with the kids this is the new house really needs some landscaping and major updating we will do it a little at a time my daughter is going to help me then our van went out the week before that happened we had a blow out and had to spend almost 200 00 on a new tire we were lucky we were not on the interstate when it blew as i am sure we would have rolled the van david did well at controlling it until we could pull over god was with us as we had just gotten off the interstate it literally shred it is a 1996 ford huge conversion van so we traded it in and got a small 2010 toyota scion the van didn t have running ac or heat so at less we can stay cool and warm now we can t take our power chairs anywhere david says he will make a trailer and we will pull them it s a nice car but now we have a car payment and no way to get our chairs anywhere in time i suppose life has been a roller coaster for us lately and i am ready to get off it i am ready to get this move taken care of be able to come up with the money for it and continue life i will have to get all new doctors specialists etc which sucks as i have such good doctor s here it s all scarey it s cold enough here and we are moving 2 hours north of here but the good thing is we will be where my daughter is and if something happens she is there to help us puts my mind at ease i know i don t blog a lot but please know i do read all your blogs and enjoy them if you get a chance let me know you were here keep us in your prayers that we can make this move smoothly and be able to sale enough things to pay for a truck and gas i would appreciate all the for me i heard each one of these things growing up lol i hope everyone is staying cool as it s hot out there we have had a high temperature warning for 5 days now it s supposed to cool down a little this weekend i sure hope it does i am having some stomach surgery thursday the 25th i have a condition called achalasia and also have a condition called gastroparesis they are going to put me to sleep under general anesthesia put a instrument down my esophagus and take a needle down and try and inject botox into 2 different areas on my stomach at the top and the bottom we hope this helps for a while the longest is 6 12 mos i can have this repeated as long as it works but if it doesn t it will require a quite extensive serious surgery praying this works i am keeping optimistic this should be in and out if all goes well had all my pre op lab work done yesterday i was out in the back yard yesterday and saw this bird s nest on the back wall of our patio it was way to high up for me to see inside it to see if it was empty or had eggs or baby bird s so david came out and snapped a pic for me it was empty but isn t it amazing how birds build a nest look how perfectly round it is god s
