panama a group claiming to represent vietnam veterans is claiming responsibility they demand millions of dollars or they will crash a computer controlled plane into the white house with the woman on board mack bolan is flying to panama to investigate and his f 4 is ambushed by f 100 sabres he manages to parachute into the jungles of nicaragua and avoid men with helicopters he has to stop this plane from crashing into the white house a survey by an sr 71 finds the base of this terrorist in nicaragua he manages to defeat this nicaraguan terrorist and free the popular wife and vietnam veterans who are held prisoner this is one convoluted plot apparently some nicaraguan terrorist manages to build his own air force in the jungles of nicaragua it consists of old f 100 sabres and apache helicopters he has technology to remote fly a c 130 he has kidnapped vietnam veterans to frame them for this grandiose plot of his he also throws in a flight that bolan does with an sr 71 because that is the only way to find a fully functioning airbase in nicaragua the absurdity of this just keeps piling on throughout the book the author just seems to link one action scene after bolan has decided to take a vacation he goes to idaho to kayak the rapids of a river known as the river of no return the kgb hear of this and send their best assassin with a large team to take him out bolan finds himself now having to defeat them his only companion is a teen boy who reminds bolan of his brother johnny the teen also has the name johnny bolan has to navigate the rapids as well as protect the teen and take out the assassin and his men this is the final book that krauzer wrote it is also his best so he goes out on a high note the author clearly knows about the area of northern nevada and idaho i lived there so i can tell he also has knowledge of kayaking on the rapids we get an enjoyable story of bolan trying to take a vacation but has to still fight the bad guys he also there is a cult called the universal devotees members of this cult are committing acts of violence the cult was founded by a vietnamese refugee who is an agent of communist vietnam with the kgb he is brainwashing his followers to commit these acts the plan is to destabilize society mack bolan is assigned the task to rescue a senator s daughter from this cult at the hq of the cult north of san fransico he rescues her he also starts a one man war against the cult bolan means to put an end to the insidious cult another excellent book by the prolific author newton he brings the action back to the states a good change of pace from the terrorists he has been battling in europe and libya the cult is sinister and bolan does his thing basically slaughtering many of the mercenaries that the cult 2026 tags the executioner comments leave a comment the executioner 48 the libya connection by stephen mertz standard copyright 1982 mack bolan is in the caribbean to rescue a friend the puerto rican agent eve aguilar she has been captured by the terrorist leonard jericho the trail leads to libya here bolan finds the terrorist is in a plot by a libyan army colonel to stage a coup against khadaffi it is backed by the kgb also a dying u s army general sold libya a deadly chemical bolan infiltrates the organization under an assumed terrorist that bolan killed he joins forces with mossad to stop the libyan colonel from getting the chemical and has to rescue his friend from jericho this was another excellent book by stephen mertz he can always deliver a good story he understands the character and uses the agent eve from a pendleton book bolan once again infiltrates the organization boldly pretending to be someone important he gives us a bold ending in bolan not being able to rescue eve as he finds her skinned alive this was something also that pendleton would use if there is a criticism it is using libya so soon after the last book was also set in libya the plot is a bit similar but 2026 tags stephen mertz the executioner comments leave a comment assault on area 51 standard shyla kenna and kristen had arrived at area 51 they had found the place still very active there were patrols that passed by regularly they saw spotlights in the distance it would soon be morning and the sun would come up the three women went to the chain link fence and shyla started to cut an opening in it i can t see this as being so easy says kristen right after she said that a hummer came up and two men got out they were dressed in standard fatigue but had these strange helmets on they were black and enclosed their heads a blue visor that glowed was where the eyes would be they seemed to know the base was being infiltrated ok let s pretend to surrender said shyla the three girls raise their hands the two soldiers moved toward them with guns raised they didn t say a word they moved with a mechanical precision shyla was the first to move she managed to grab the rifle and wrench it from his hands kenna tackled the other guard kristen grabbed up the fallen rifle the two soldiers showed no emotion and attacked with controlled movements shyla managed to wrest the helmet from the soldier attacking her his face was a blank expression then turned into one of terror he collapsed with blood starting to come from his nose kristen shot the other one and he fell dead what the hell is this asked shyla kenna went to the other soldier and removed the helmet she looked inside it there seem to be some kind of ports that were against the head kenna said i think this is some sort of mind control device shyla looked at hers and reached in to tear out the ports she then put it on the blue visor was still illuminated are you ok asked kenna yeah i m fine replied shyla go ahead and put it on we ll pretend to be guards taking kristen as a prisoner kenna reached into her helmet and pulled out the ports then she put it on now both women had these strange helmets on all three got into the hummer with kristen in the back seat the hummer then went to the main base they found large blast doors open with vehicles coming and going they entered and found themselves in a vast underground parking garage they found a place to park and got out they walked with kristen in the middle as their prisoner this place looks huge said kristen where we going asked kenna just keep going answered shyla we ll hopefully find where the prisoners are they walked down the corridor there were many corridors and all looked the same they were well lit and immaculate other people with strange helmets were walking around some were in military uniform and some civilian nobody gave them a second look there were signs posted at each intersection that labeled places one seemed promising processing sectors are this way said shyla let s check them out they did find the processing center what they found was a nightmare there were rows of people restrained in chairs technicians with helmets were lowering helmets onto those restrained to turn them into mindless zombies there was a scream from a woman on a chair next to the wall a beautiful blonde was yelling as a technician was lowering a helmet toward her head scarlett yelled kristen she ran toward her wife scarlett noticed her kristen scarlett yelled back shyla right away gunned down the technician that was lowering the helmet kristen ran up to scarlett and ripped the helmet away before it could settle over scarlett s head kristen then tore off the restraints and took a sobbing scarlett into her arms kristen you came for me said scarlett of course i did kristen replied with tears also running down her face kristen and scarlett then kissed each other she then helped scarlett to her feet there was a moment of relief then the other technicians stopped what they were doing and turned toward them a siren started to sound and the area was illuminated by deep red emergency lights unauthorized divergence detected said a cold metallic voice all the helmeted technicians advanced toward them they moved with a mechanical precision they moved like one with no fear or hesitation shyla threatened to shoot but none of them showed the slightest concern i am officially hating this place said kenna shyla and kenna fired on the advancing technicians they fell but continued other guards now came in carrying batons soon the four women were overwhelmed their weapons were stripped away and they were restrained the four women were taken to a large circular chamber it had large server towers stretching upward into shadow the walls were covered with strange alien looking technology organic curves fused with steel and circuitry in the center of the room was a crystalline structure with shifting patterns of light i have observed you said the ominous voice screens around the room came to life they showed scenes of destruction during the war nuclear explosions ruined cities battles in the air and on land and sea what the hell asked kenna i am chess master said the voice a computer said shyla more than a computer answerer the voice i am an extraterrestrial strategic intelligence integrated into human military infrastructure during project dominion ok a super alien computer replied shyla did you start the war no answered the voice humanity required no assistance however your species has proven inefficient without centralized direction i will provide that direction great the apocalypse has a supervillain now replied kenna i will unify the wasteland the voice said what will happen to us asked shyla you have proven to be irrational answered the voice there is no logic in wasting time to rescue an insignificant human female it s called love answered kristen love answered the voice the concept is in practically every source of information on your species it is very archaic and illogical this must be studied as it is probably the root cause of human instability it is our greatest strength answered shyla that is illogical answered the voice i will have to dissect your brains to find the cause of this illogical delusion yeah i think i will pass on that said shyla she slammed her restraints on a post next to her hard enough to loosen them she ripped free and grabbed a stun baton from the guard next to her she stunned the guard and used it to smash into the restraints of kenna noncompliant behavior detected said the voice as kenna freed herself shyla tossed her the stun baton she grappled with another guard and took his baton then she started to smash the crystalline structure of chess master containment instability detected said the voice kenna stunned the guard and grabbed his rifle kristen and scarlett worked on getting out of their restraints kenna started firing into the server towers alarms started to sound you do not comprehend the consequences of your actions said the voice i disagree said shyla she then pulled a grenade that the guards overlooked from a pouch on her belt she pulled the pin and tossed it at the main control panel the explosion tore up the circuits soon everything was starting to short circuit let s get the hell out of here yelled kenna scarlett and kristen had freed themselves and the four women ran out of the chamber the guards had collapsed as the control of their brains ceased...
