1962 metzendorf trailer skip to main skip to sidebar wednesday august 20 2014 bon voyage little camper the camper has been adopted by a great family i am happy that the new owners are enthusiastic about joining the family of vintage campers i will leave this blog as a reference for other metzendorf owners i encourage all to get out in the woods and unplug cheers posted by metzendorf at 1 50 pm no comments thursday september 5 2013 metzendorf for sale 4 499 again june 2014 we have decided to really put her for sale i am listing her here first while i develop the full listing inventory and photos we have brought her back down to white plains new york this is where it will stay until sold there are no leaks on the camper when i got her fletch from fletcher s vintage trailer went fully over her many parts of the camper are original to include most of the original speckle paint the cushions and bed are all made from ikea comfy latex mattresses i furnace and two burner stove works but i have not gotten the small gas fridge working i didn t really try just use it for storage i will post more soon but for now you can go through the blog to see every thing i have done i am selling her metzendorf has since mine is in the mountains i can t check can someone post what is on their metz posted by metzendorf at 7 27 am 4 comments friday may 24 2013 summer in the green mountains the camper has her home for the summer there will be no traveling about this summer to the catskills and adirondacks hopefully she will get some use as a guest cottage the camper makes the cottage look huge and it isn t posted by metzendorf at 3 52 pm no comments sunday april 28 2013 another summer this weekend i am taking the camper up to vermont she will be serving as a guest cottage at our primitive camp up in the green mountains it sure will be nice to have our garage free for other stuff where we live all rvs must be stored in a garage the metzendorf is probably the largest camper only selling it so someone else could enjoy it and fully restore it however if i can t get the asking price come june i will just park her on my property in vermont if she were fully restored i surely would ask for more the trailer is located in the lower hudson valley ny you can flip back through the blog and see everything i did to her the fridge doesn t run but is still all there the furnace works and the two burner stove works fletcher s vintage trailers rewired and put in new plumbing lines most of the original speckle paint is in good shape if you are interested please email me at selling my metzendorf i love the little camper but we have purchased land in with a primitive camp in vt i still may just park it there and use as a spare bedroom but am starting to think that i should let her be adopted by someone who really wants this special little camper i won t need a camper this size to keep in my garage the law where i live i may just keep her through this summer and finish a few things i wanted to do and see how she works out our thinking is that we might want to get something a little larger as the spare bedroom although the camp is pretty small it is less than inches high small enough to fit in a garage mine is the 15 foot version the unit includes a drop floor so most people can stand in the middle of the camper it also came with a furnace 2 burner stove propane refrigerator and closet for a portapotty she is also wired for 110 and 12v the camper sleeps 4 when the dinette is turned into a bed i am attempting to renovate her to be respectful of 1962
