the stanley family skip to main skip to sidebar the stanley family saturday june 13 2009 update finally so for those of you that actually read this know that i am not good at keeping this up to date so i am sorry i will try harder so to catch up mike has started a new job in atlanta and we are moving to a town called locust grove ga which is 1 2 way between where each of us work we will be buying our first house which has been very unsuccessful at the moment we have put 2 contracts on 2 different houses and were outbid bummer as if we don t have enough on our plates with a baby new job buying a house i have decided to go back to school for nursing i pray that i don t lose my mind or whats left of it marlee is 10months now and is crawling around like crazy i have given up on trying to keep my house clean because she just goes behind me and destroys it marlee is almost standing without help ans will be walking in no time she is now drinking out of a sippy cup yay for no more bottles marlee is a total daddy s girl unless she is tired or hurt then she wants her mommy she is great at sharing and is overall a good baby helping with the laundry or just pulling all on the floor all comments friday february 13 2009 6 months it has been 6 months since marlee was born and it has flown by it feels like yesterday i was panicking to get to the hospital after my water broke being a mom is so great and it is more than i ever expected marlee teaches me something new everyday i cant wait to teach her how to iceskate or how to ride a bike and most of all i can t wait to go to disney world i know im a nerd but i am super excited about disney marlee is doing alot of new things lately she can roll over on both sides and as of last week can sit up all by herself she is so spoiled and knows just how to get your attention she now sits in a highchair when we go to restaurants and loves it when sam and roxy pay attention to her she is completely a daddy s girl and could care less if i am in the room as long as her dad is holding her she would love to crawl if only she could figure it out maybe in a month or so marlee loves to be sung too and sing along she might just sing along to drown out my singing i haven t been the best at keeping up with my blog but i feel like i am just figuring out how to make time for things with a baby or maybe she just isnt needing my attention all comments thursday june 19 2008 i am getting old so i am 27 and feel like i have accomplished alot in my life i have done all of the normal things like graduate college get married and now have a baby on the way i was feeling pretty good about all of this until this last week i got a myspace invitation for my 10 year high school reunion where has 10 years gone until now i felt like my life was just beginning now i don t know where time has gone posted by mike kena at 7 40 pm 2 comments thursday may 15 2008 new to blogging and tornadoes so i decided to start this blog because i have several friends that have their own that i really enjoy reading hopefully i am better at keeping up with this than my myspace page mike and i got married last june 22 2007 and are expecting our first and most likely our only child in september i m not sure who said pregnancy gives you this beautiful glow and makes you feel better than you ever felt because i am in my 6 th month and still waiting for the glow and the good feeling we found out not too long ago that we are having a girl and are so excited coming up with a name has been extremely difficult i remember always hating my name because no one could ever say it the right way i think that we have decided on marlee kate i promise to put up belly pictures as soon as i get brave enough tornadoes we had a tornado in georgia on sunday mike and i woke up to the news saying that we were in a state of emergency now since i am from oklahoma and tornadoes are an everyday thing i found this really humorous i even got a call from the office i work at saying that we might be closed unfortunately i ended up having to work but couldn t believe that i might not have to go in because of a tornado luckily there wasn t too much damage just a bunch of
