artistry line of papers and matching embellishments for this i used lots of layers using the ephemera pack and some cut outs i made my title is from the die cut sheet that comes in the paper pack i love those sheets they are full of cool dies a few art stones for some added texture i used embossing powders to color all my chipboard for this layout i then added some seedlings from blue fern studios in meadow to spruce it up a bit i threw out the packaging before i got the name of the chipboard piece from it i used the maiden hair ferns and lavender chipboard to embellish the sides this and then some molding paste and a finnibar stencil i stitched around the page for added interest for my flower clusters i used both prima flowers 49 market blooms and dies i backed the dies with thick cardboard to give it more dimension i used some rubons and applied them to white cardstock then fussy cut them and used them as foilage to back the flowers another bloom pic i built my composition using many layers a small resin for some flair my cutie i adore you that s it for now all the best posted by langeatheart at 13 30 0 comments email this blogthis share to x share to facebook share to share to x share to facebook share to pinterest wednesday 12 january 2022 you are simply the cheeriest greetings it has been quite some time since i ve last posted anything i think i am suffering from covid fatigue and depression this pandemic has for me personally left me feeling down and discouraged the endless number counts testing problems vaccine or anti vaccine it just seems so out of control for being over two years into this mess now i know i am definitely not alone in my despair and need to find a way back to looking forward to the day rather than surviving it so i decided to enter this month s sketch challenge over at my creative scrapbook kit club this is the sketch and this is my take on the sketch my two oldest grandchildren lilly and emily i prepped my page with clear gesso i then added a few of the branches using the stencil that came with the kit i colored it with lindy s mists and some distress glitter from tim holtz i then added an ephemera branch and a piece of blue fern chipboard colored with white paint and glitter i topped this out with a poinsetta from the ephemera pack i did this in three of the four corners i used a piece of ephemera for my title love the ephemera packs a final close up i have already started a new page and hope to get my groove back i promised myself that no matter how much i like or dislike my project i will post them hopefully with time i will feel more confident again and the creativity will come back i hope that you are all doing well and staying as safe as possible in these trying times as my mother always used to say this too shall pass lets hope all the best posted by langeatheart at 14 51 0 comments email this blogthis share to x share to facebook share to pinterest thursday 13 may 2021 daddy s girl my creative scrapbook kit club good day i have another layout today using the may limited edition kit from my creative scrapbook kit club this is my youngest granddaughter emily reading with her dad i love this photo i know it s not the best quality i didn t take it lol but it s moments like this that make life special and should be documented i used the may limited edition kit from my creative scrapbook kit club for this layout this kit is chocked full of gorgeous papers flowers and other gorgeous embellishments i added some layers behind my photo using tags i made from the papers included in the kit i primed my page with clear gesso always because i wanted to add some dimension around the photo with a stencil and some moulding paste i took the lace from the die cut sheet from 49 market that came in the kit and cut it in half using one half to go along underneath the photo blooms in the kit are from prima and match the papers beautifully i also added a small piece of colored cheesecloth to add more texture to the layout last close up for the day i added just a little bit of interest on the bottom right hand corner of my page by using the other half of the paper lace more cheesecloth a tag and a bloom this was a really simple layout to do and i enjoyed myself hope all is well with you and i will be back with the final layout for this month soon stay safe and take care all the best posted by langeatheart at 23 00 0 comments email this blogthis share to x share to facebook share to pinterest monday 10 may 2021 hello beautiful my creative scrapbook kit club i am back today to share another layout done with the gorgeous limited edition kit from my creative scrapbook kit club this kit includes some gorgeous papers for fussy cutting which i happen to love for this layout i decided to fussy cut all the elements i wanted to use and combine it with some ephemera and printed chipboard to compose my page i used a plain piece of white cardstock and primed it with white gesso this allows me to add color to my page and make any corrections i need to without destroying my page the following are some close ups a sticker sheet was included with the cottage fields collection and i took some of the stickers and adhered them to scraps of cardstock to give them more strength i backed many of the pieces with cardboard and began to tuck them all around my photo i used some lindy s mists on my background then went over the area with a stamp blue fern tattered newspaper and some black archival ink lots of fussy cutting lol printed chipboard and ephemera for my title i used a piece of printed chipboard that said hello beautiful more printed chipboard by the way the photo is of my oldest granddaughter lilly taken several years ago i have always loved this photo but was never quite sure how to scrap it until i received this kit the last of my close ups lol sorry i got carried away i really enjoyed working with this kit i tried doing totally different styles for each layout to show the versatility of this kit you can get your kit here i hope you enjoyed and i will be back with another layout soon in the meantime please stay safe all the best posted by
