i don t think so unless you re a transformer jet decor ambience it s a typical by the beach type restaurant no walls there s a line of acquariums where you get to choose the fish prawns crabs that you like food the speciality here is the white pepper claypot crabs we had some local crabs and it was pretty good the sauce was well peppery the other speciality was the fried tang hoon or glass noodles some of the guys have had similar in kl and said pak su s is ok we also had some prawns fresh steamed nothing to shout about and deep fried aubergines now this was special they kinda melt in your mouth the coating was a powdery sweet and salty very interesting worth trying out a small portion if you re here price kl prices return trip yeah when we re back in kuantan for some seafood posted by which says zaman can make it within an hour travel service it s in bloody kuantan man but worth a stop decor ambience regular stall type restaurant nice and clean food the speciality here is the hot hot nasi lemak cooked fresh and put inside the the banana leaf good oh yeah the rice is very fragrant and they dont hold back on the santan cheaper coconuts in the east coast i guess the sambal is pretty good too price cant remember but reasonably cheap hei this is kuantan afterall return trip most definitely posted by no3 10 00 am 0 comments wednesday may 23 2007 nasi ayam kampung location i don t know where this is rizal directed us here but it sin town somewhere near the cycling race track cheras direction but not as far anyway it s apparently another branch as the ayam kampung shop in kampung baru can make it within an hour travel service i guess if rizal shows the way again decor ambience pretty cool coz it s all al fresco ala kl meaning big square plastic umbrellas the success of the place has forced it to take over pretty much all the area outside the food court which is fine because it s then not so hot and crowded even though there s lots of people food can t go wrong here simply deep fried ayam kampung with an array of kelantanese dishes to choose from personally to really enjoy it is to have the sambal and some ulam and some gravy and that s it heaven price to be honest cant recall but it s the usual up to rm10 per plate depending on what you slap on your plate return trip well the food is as good as the one in kampung baru but if we feel like a different view yeah but parking is something else tho decor ambience just a bunch of tables thrown together getting to the food s a bit of a chore because you ll have to queue up at the rather small shop if the weather s hot can be a little uncomfortable but hei that s a small price to pay for the great food food deep fried ayam kampung with a host of kelantanese dishes the ulam and sambal is a must the daging dinding is no push over either to be honest all the dishes are good even if you dont get the fried ayam kampung a little tip grab the fried chicken from inside the kitchen they re freshly fried discovered a better place for biryani gam than the usual putrajaya one it s tastier and cheaper location restoran anje is located in errr ok you take the seremban highway and exit at upm then head back north towards the beryl s chocolate factory on the right before the factory is a row of sho houses taraaa can make it within an hour travel service yeah if you drive fast enough on the highway decor ambience not much to write home about a regular clean kopi tiam stylee restaurant food ahhhhh it makes you thankful you re not a vegetarian the lamb is pure class thick slighty sweet fragrant spicy and not too oily the chicken s pretty good too but i always have my gam s with lamb the rice is good too not too heavy price wow much cheaper than putrajaya gam in fact as far as biryani s go
