off the rails scrapbooking pages home sponsorship coordinator about us saturday may 11 2019 chose happiness dreamcatcher hi everyone today i want to share a step by step tutorial of the dreamcatcher i made with this month s moodboard chose happiness love the flower peace sign it s s very simple project so here s how i made it here s the materials that i used i had strips of floral fabric from a friend i applied glue inside the hoop and used the strips to wrap around the hoop tied some more strips of flower fabric and pom pom trims and lace love how flowy they look added the guitar wood piece and flowers with glue left the title wood piece raw i used my silhouette cameo machine to cut out the flower peace sign love how lovely it turn out i ended up not using the solid base of the sign as it look mismatched thankfully the cut out looks nice i was afraid that it might tear due to the intricate design after this i paste the sign at the back of the hoop and voila its done hope you enjoy my simple tutorial do join us for this month s amazing moodboard have fun posted by unknown at 5 30 am no comments email this blogthis share to x share to facebook share to pinterest monday march 25 2019 cherie s vintage page march 2019 morena scrapping friends from new zealand this month i am sharing two pages as i had these lovely family photos of my father and his brother and sister and i just couldn t choose between the two layouts page one has fussy cutting from the page which was then overlaid a little bling was added to lift the roses i have used sepia ink on both layouts to ink edges as sepia picks up the tone colour of the paper you are inking and enhances it page two uses a layering effect on the left hand side of the photo the strips were punched on both sides and inked then layered on top of each other a bling flourish and a feather die cut were used to frame the photo a envelope was used on the right hand corner of the layout to balance the page my tip this month is about fussy cutting use the glass of a photo frame under the piece of paper to be fussy cut you knife will move more smoothly and your paper will be less likely to catch and tear arohanui from new have fun posted by unknown at 5 30 am no comments email this blogthis share to x share to facebook share to pinterest wednesday february 27 2019 recycling your scraps with cathys we have a lovely moodboard for you this month and i got inspired by all the bright colours with our theme too of recycling i decided to use up some of my leftovers for my page i pulled out all the bits that had lots of colours on them punched squares and then cut those in half to form triangles next up was to arrange the triangles in a chevron pattern across the page and machine stitch them in place the photos were also punched into squares and then mounted into photo strips this is all mounted onto a piece of patterned paper lastly i dug out some old button stickers and a few others to add to the layout the only new bit on my layout is the title which i created in silhouette studio and then cut out so how have you been inspired by our moodboard and theme this month till next time happy scrapping mood board i was inspired by the spring colors and those gorgeous mason jars here is my layout i used american crafts stash for this layout i didn t have many embellies left so i challenged myself to create a layout without using many embellies fussy cutting is a great way to do this i fussy cut the mason jars from one of the papers and hung them using hand stitching from my top border my title was also fussy cut here i fussy cut the flowers and tag i did use a die cut pineapple 2 stickers 3 small puffy stickers and 1 button from my stash for embellies but the majority of this layout is fussy cutting i love how it came out next time you are short on embellishments try fussy cutting posted by lisam at 12 30 am no comments email this blogthis share to x share to facebook share to
