brandon jessica olson established 2004 brandon jessica olson established 2004 keep your head up god gives his hardest battles to his strongest soldiers monday february 8 2016 catch up it seems like time just keeps going so dang fast on september 24th 2015 we found out that we are pregnant with our 4th baby an unexpected but welcome pregnancy due to my high risk of miscarriage they started me on a baby asprin and progesterone to help keep my hormone levels up i went in at 8 weeks to have an early ultrasound to make sure the baby was growing and that there was a heart beat waiting for that visit is always so stressful for me so we were so grateful when we saw that little heart beating our due date is june 1st which is a great time to have a baby so glad to not have another winter holiday baby we did my normal labs and were notified that i had a bladder infection long story short i continued to get bladder infections as soon as i stopped the antibiotic so dr smith put me on a daily antibiotic for the rest of my pregnancy unfortunately the daily antibiotics did not fully work so in january i ended up at the urgent care getting iv fluids and iv antibiotics for a kidney infection i was switched to a new antibiotic and that seems to be working this pregnancy until i was about 15 weeks along i was constantly nauseated and vomitting i was very grateful when those things both ended i have been very tired this pregnancy but i m sure the fact that i have a 7 year old a 2 year old and a barely 1 year old are not helping me stay rested on december 21st brandon and i went to fetal fotos and had them check the gender they put the ultrasound picture in an envelop and i gave that to my friend lisa who lives by us we gave her balloons and confetti for each gender and then had her put the correct one in a box for us we opened it on christmas eve it was so fun to see our boys open it and realize what the color pink balloons and confetti meant we were so thrilled to find out that we were finally getting a girl i am beyond excited to add some pink at our home on christmas day we told both our families and it was fun to watch them react i am now almost 24 weeks along and besides being tired all the time i m feeling pretty good brandon was laid of october 1st from certiport so he is busy looking for a job and being a great stay at home dad right now while i work at medallus medical it has been a very trying 4 1 2 months but i know that we are given our trials for a reason and to make us stronger i feel that brandon and i have grown closer together and have learned how to work together to take care of the kids we have made a better effort to attend church each week and it is so nice to feel the spirit in our home in april 2015 we bought our first home it has been so fun to have space for our kids and be living in an area with so much growth that their are tons of kids our kids ages we however have yet to hang up any decorations so it does not feel quite like home yet can t wait to add our decor and make it our home it has 3 bedrooms and a loft upstairs we have decided that we will need to change the loft into a bedroom so that we can fit our 4 children the loft is big and will fit easton and kamden in there now for the fun of construction posted by the olsons at 1 52 pm no comments monday january 12 2015 announcing nikson skylar olson on thursday december 19th at 2 50am my water broke i had never had this happen so it took me by surprise we are living with brandon s grandma olson so i woke her up to let her know we needed to go to the hospital we arrived at lone peak hospital around 4am by 4 30 my contractions were very consistent and strong the anesthesiologist came in to give me my epidural around 5am but had to leave and give a lady who was closer to delivery her epidural before he could give me mine in the mean time i had to breathe scream through my contractions until he came back around 6am my ob dr layne smith made it just in time and i delivered our precious baby boy at 6 47am he weighed 6 lbs 14 oz and was 19 5 in long he was almost 2 lbs smaller than kamden so to us he was tiny easton and kamden were able to come and meet their new brother at the hospital kamden did not know what to think but easton was so excited we were able to go home the next day which was so nice posted by the olsons at 9 37 pm no comments thursday december 18 2014 2014 recap i m horrible at keeping a journal and feel it is so important to document the things going on in our lives so tonight as i lay here in bed having a hard time falling asleep i decided i should update this blog of things that have happened this year on april 22nd we found out we are pregnant again this is pregnancy 9 for us we were able to keep this baby and found out in august that it is another boy i shed a few small tears but was just happy to have a healthy baby we are due december 30th which is only 12 short days away i m scheduled to be induced on december 23rd but we have not decided if that is what is best for us and the baby yet i have an appt on the 22nd so we will decide then in june brandon started a new job at a company called certiport i have been able to stay home with the boys full time and i would not trade it for anything i m so grateful that he works so hard to provide for us in early september we decided to put our house up for sale we got it all ready and put it on the market october 1st within 3 days we had 2 offers we could not believe it we accepted one of them and moved into brandon s grandma olson s october 26th we live in the basement where we have some personal space and so far things are going well we are hoping to start looking for a home in january we feel so blessed to be able to have family that we can live with while in limbo this is just the brief version but i hope to update it more fully soon posted by the olsons at 10 09 pm no comments tuesday april 29 2014 art time with noodles we have stayed home because easton has been sick the past couple of days well he got bored and i had to think of something for him to do those who know me know i am not to creative but nonetheless i thought if doing art with uncooked noodles easton thought it was awesome and it kept him busy for awhile posted by the olsons at 8 46 am no comments saturday february 22 2014 sad day well at exactly 9 weeks along i miscarried today it has been a hard thing for all of us to deal with all of my miscarriages have been hard emotionally but this one seems to be the worst this is the farthest along i have been and miscarried we thought we were in the safe zone which is why we announced it last week we heard the heartbeat and saw our baby on the ultrasound so this just seems so unfair p this miscarriage was not due to the baby it was due to a subchorionic hemorrhage basically a blood pocket in the placenta apparently normally these just dissolve on their own or cause a little bleeding however if to big they can cause the sac to break from the uterine wall and cause a miscarriage this is what happened to me p we are heartbroken easton and his sweetness said jesus hears mom so maybe he will send the baby back so glad he is positive posted by the olsons at 8 15 pm no comments feb 2014 and kamden turns 8 months this month has been a pretty warm month we have been in the high 40 s and low 50 s so it basically feels like spring i should really probably be taking the boys outside more but this pregnancy has had me very exhausted and lightheaded easton is still in preschool and for the most part he loves it he got to have a valentines party at school and i should have taken a picture of the valentines we made but i spaced it they were in little baggies that said glad were in the same school and we put swedish fish in the bag they turned out really cute and he had fun at his party brandon quit his job at listen technologies on feb 7th he has been unhappy for quite awhile he just did not enjoy being in accounting and a change of job was very much needed he got a job with a company called instructure he was able to take a week off inbetween jobs and it was nice to have him home easton thought it was the coolest thing ever he started at instructure on the 18th and things are going great it seems to be a great company and a place that he can be happy we are very excited about this opportunity for him we have had a side job of cleaning listen technologies for just over 3 years we have been doing it with brandon s parents it requires us to clean every friday night we have finally decided it is time to quit and we are so excited to have our friday nights back on feb 10th i went to my 7 week ob appt we were able to have an ultrasound and see the babies heart beat what a stress relief for me i measured a little smaller than they thought i was but i figured i would since my periods were 32 days apart and not the usual 28 i had already done hcg quants to see if my numbers were going up like they should and to make sure it was not a ectopic pregnancy my numbers never doubled but went up by about 50 70 each time so that had me nervous dr england put me on a baby aspirin and also progesterone again he said that things looked but but that i had a subchorionic hemorrhage in my placenta he said this is common and that it may cause some bleeding he however felt safe waiting 4 weeks to see me again the babies heart beat was 110 bpm we had our family pics done the end of january and we did a pose where easton held a sign saying 5 years kamden holding one that said 7 months and me hold one that said 8 weeks we gave these pics to both sets of parents to announce we are expecting both were shocked and excited it was a fun way to announce our news on feb 17th it was presidents day so easton did not have school and brandon did not have work we decided to head to chucky cheese easton loves this place and was so excited that we invited his cousins lexi and brayden to come they had a blast and it was nice to get out of the house an have fun as a family on feb 18th in the evening i began to spot i remembered what dr england said so i did not stress to much then on feb 19th i was spotting a lot more i called dr england and spoke with the nurse she stated that since i was cramping with it that they would want to see me sooner than 3 more weeks so she rescheduled me for the 24th she told me to go on pelvic and bedrest since then the spotting has increased to bleeding and the cramping got much worse this morning of course today is saturday and my ob s office is closed so i am stressing out if i bleed much more i will need to go to the er this unfortunately feels just like my previous miscarriages and it is scaring me to death i would feel so much better if i could just get an ultrasound and know if i am having a miscarriage or if it is just the hemorrhage i m laying in bed all day today and praying that the bleeding will decrease i know i should just have faith that things will work out as they should but this is so hard it is such an emotional rollercoaster on a happier note i can t believe it has been 8 months already since we had kamden he is such a blessing in my life and through this rough week has been there smiling and making it easier for me this handsome little guy is so happy all the time he of course has his moments of fussy but they are not very often he has slept through the night off and on as of the last couple of nights he has slept 10 hours straight and then i can give him his binky and he will go back to sleep for about an hour he got his first ear infection on 2 16 and that made him miserable for a few days he has been taking really long naps so i think he is trying to feel better that way he still refuses to roll he knows how to roll from tummy to back but he just does not want to he has almost figured out how to roll from his back to his tummy he loves to sit up and see what is going on he will bend forward and reach for things he has just figured out how to pick up his food and put it in his mouth he thinks he is so smart when he does this he loves to jump in the jumperoo and will do so for an hour or more whenever he hears brandon or easton he gets the biggest grin and gets all excited and will look for them he has learned to make all sorts of noises currently his favorite toy is a bottle of his baby aveeno lotion odd i know but seriously he loves it he has learned to grab things and will grab anything in his reach i can not imagine life he did go on a couple kamden decided to have his first blow out diaper that made for an eventful day kamden turned 2 months on the 21st i can not believe how much he has changed already posted by the
