me start by saying how very very thankful i am pretty sure the entire family for all the positive thoughts and prayers that have been sent mom s way and all the people that took care of mom the morning of her surgery i got to the natalie building around 7 40 she and jerry had to be there at 6 30 when i got back to her and jerry they had already talked to dusty one of her prayer partner s sons who works there then scott who is an anesthesiologist and goes to mom s church stopped by to check on her then another lady came in to pray with mom because dusty had asked if anyone would mind to go say a prayer with mom and she did can t remember her name we also knew that when she went to recovery that heather wife of one of the guys she works with would be with her heather was with her when they moved her over to the main hospital scott came over to check on mom before he left for the day lance and ashley came in from little rock stephanie and brian came to see her as did linda steven scott and stacy called and sent text messages to me to tell her it is truly amazing what god can do he is the only one that could have made it possible for all these people and many more to be with mom to help ease any fears she might have had she ended up only staying one night in the hospital i think she moved and did a little to much when she got home but she was moving slower by sunday and has done a good job of taking things slower this past week she went back to dr lockhart today things seem to be healing well she will see him again next week he also wants her to see an oncologist april 16 2012 it has come knocking again several weeks ago i got a phone call from mom saying two new lumps have been found in the same breast as the last time you can read that post from three years ago here both lumps are cancer so she had to decide what she wanted to do she has decided to have a double mastectomy due to her mom having breast cancer three times and her sister having it and going through chemo now why keep the good one chances are it will become unhealthy at some point i have to agree with her on her decision my mom is one very strong lady hello she had steven scott lance and me to deal with and now she has her five grand kids however i am oh so grateful for the love and support she gets from family co workers friends doctors and their staff and her amazing church family so far god has not let any of these three amazing women die from this type of cancer my mema has past away but not from breast cancer and i am pretty sure he doesn t plan on it anytime soon just because cancer has come knocking again doesn t mean that it will be staying for any length of time mom will have her surgery this friday so if you don t mind please keep my mom and her sister in your prayers as this is a fight that they are not done fighting posted by lori at 12 00 pm 1 comments labels my mom thursday september 2 2010 reality check pics are from prom 1996 a week ago tuesday afternoon i got a phone call from kelly saying that kristy a high school friend we had lost touch but reconnected on fb and our sons ended up on the same wee ball team this past spring had coded and was not doing well i got off the phone with her and sent a text to lori to find out what she knew lori was at work so it took a little while till i was able to talk to her the info that she gave me was not good either that night i went to bed praying and crying asking god to make a miracle happen kristy was way to important of a person to leave this earth at this time wednesday morning i had to go to work so during our morning pray i asked for my co teachers and director to pray for kristy and her family once i got back to my room there was a text message saying she had passed at 9 07 that is when the questions started in my mind why why would god take such an awesome person she was beautiful inside and out why would he take a wife mother sister and daughter from her family what would her three babies be able to remember about her she was only 31 she had so much more life to live i know that i had prayed that god s well be done last night but leaving this earth is not what i meant saturday lori and i went to kristy s funeral service it was a beautiful good bye she was is loved by so many she touched so many lives and truly lived life for god i know with all my heart that she is no longer in pain and hanging out with the big man himself up stairs i also know that her kids will never go without knowing their mommy there are way to many people around here to be able to tell them all about her there has not been a day go by that i have not cried thinking about her and her family this has also brought several things to my attention 1 i don t know how i would be able to go on without nate who in their right mind would want to start a relationship with me and my triple a s who would love me the way nate does who would love the triple a s the way nate does 2 i have always said that i will be the first in my family to die after my grandpa jones passed it was just way to hard to have him leave i can only imagine how it will be with anybody else but after kristy s service i don t want anybody to have to go through what her family is going through i will stop being selfish and stop saying i want to go first 3 that none of us know when our time on this earth is going to end so we need to live each day like it is the last 4 we do not have enough pictures of our family so thank you kristy for being my friend and for bringing to light things that i need to work on the pic addison now today addison turned four and got a new lawn mower he really does not need any more he now has three here and one at grandma and papa s house we love you more than you will ever know addison avery loves you as well although he may not agree with me at this point in his life since he likes to call you bother instead of brother however asher thinks you hung the moon he smiles from ear to ear each morning when you come in to see if he is awake he crawls to you as you give him his morning hug and kiss you have the wildest imagination i have ever seen our house family would not be comments labels blog sunday march 28 2010 what s that sound we have been visiting a new church and this sunday they did not have a bible hour for the kids so avery and addison got to stay for the entire service as we were told to turn to hebrew i heard the wonderful sound that is really not heard at our other church not because scriptures are not read but because they are put upon a big screen so very few use their bibles you know the one of all the pages turning as i was listening to it a smile came across my face then we were told to turn to matthew avery was sitting on my lap and turned to me and asked what was that sound i told him it was the pages in the bibles as people turned them to the book of matthew it is a great sound and i am a little sad that he is almost 7 years old and this was the first time he heard it side note when lance my brother and i were younger we learned the books of the new testament from a song lance s best friend john was killed when we were in high school and one of the things that his mom shared at his funeral was when he was learning the same song he asked why did he bruise james so anytime i hear hebrew i think of john posted by lori at 5 14 thought i can do that and cheaper i am almost thinking that i might even try sewing although that means i will have to go over to mom s so here is what i am thinking price wise 3 50 for binky clip and 1 50 for interchanging ribbon with snaps that way you can just interchange to match different outfits 1 50 3 50 3 50 3 50 all clips can be made to be use on whatever type of binky you use this is an
