a wonderful whirlwind weekend we had three days packed with driving and celebrating with family my sister surprised her hubby our brother in law brad with a 50th birthday party and doug and i wavered back and forth a bit on whether or not to make the trip even though we are a bit worn out this morning we are both so happy that we did it this morning i have some random photos from the weekend to share with you then i m off to tackle a busy week ahead yay my sister chose the godfather theme for brad s party and all of the details were so much fun i was assigned as the photo girl for the night but in our rush to leave our hotel and get to the party i left my camera lens and external flash behind nice so we ended up with a bunch of grainy photos from my phone sigh fantastic party the guest of honor was super surprised and a great time was had by all o sunday morning we met at my sister s house for a big breakfast and a day of relaxing with family i loved spending time with my nieces and nephews and even got to give this little peach her first christmas present sweet baby olivia she s growing so fast she let out a sad little cry when the paper was torn back to reveal a little dolly underneath the baby in the box scared her just a little aw if you had told me two years ago that either my sister or i would be dog owners i would have laughed and if you had told me how much we would love our pups i probably would have said you were crazy but it s true we have lucky and my sister has walker have i mentioned before how much i love being an aunt this photo of presley stone and me makes my heart want to explode gosh i love these kiddos and now it s game on the rest of this week is jam packed with places to go people to see yoga to practice and teach and christmas to prepare for presley stone weekend recap thursday august 9 2012 crafting with presley meet my niece presley she is seven years old and she is a crafter my sister emailed me a couple of weeks ago and asked if i could bring some magnets with me when i came to california to see my mom her daughter presley had a craft she wanted to teach me and the last thing my sister wanted to do was go to a craft store in search of supplies i did have magnets in my stash so we were all set presley brought magazines craft glue and flat glass marbles these were so much fun to make you just put a good drop of glue like elmer s glue on the flat side of the marble and smash it down on top of the design you want let it dry trim the edges stick a magnet to the back and tada super cute magnets for keeping or gift giving this was a really fun project for a group of people several of us were involved including my 15 year old nephew who managed to find pictures of superman and austin powers for his magnet masterpieces and just because these are cute pictures that carrie took i ll share these too presley showed me how to color on sandpaper and we later ironed the design onto regular paper she is a clever girl of social media my 7 year old niece knows how to use her mommy s phone there s a new game app on my iphone and it s taking up a lot of my time these days it s called drawsomething a social drawing and guessing game you play on your phone with friends have you ever played and loved the game pictionary if so you would love this game too the game doesn t allow for you to save the pictures i ve put in a request via a survey i answered but i can do a screen print on my phone if i act quickly here are some from presley that i wanted to preserve i just loved her version of a painter and her button which took me a while to guess and this was just so dang cute this next picture is one that i drew for presley to guess the game will be much easier for her when she knows how to spell some bigger
