only way you could get divorced at the time was due to infidelity that specifically was not mutual infidelity a few years later in 1937 the matrimonial causes act made it easier to divorce i m assuming tommy would probably admit to infidelity if lizzie wanted a divorce just to make things easy for her but man there is a fic there isn t there because tommy thought he d die which would make divorce a non issue so there was no reason for him to think about whether lizzie might want a divorce or not then he didn t end up dying it seemed like tommy had every intention of making sure lizzie
