pink gem pages home tutorials my stamp characters in fimo my sketches followers saturday 14 march 2015 gem of a challenge pretty in pink gosh it is so long since i made a post on my blog i almost forgot what to do i am on my new computer and it s taken me ages to find my blog log in details for one lol anyway a new challenge is underway at a gem of a challenge and the theme is pretty in pink claire our host is on compassionate leave so i have stepped in with a birthday card i made this week for our little granddaughter mia who will be 8 years old on monday i don t get much time for making cards as i am too busy on the computer designing digistamps and printable card kits for other cardmakers to use please pop over and take a look at the dt s gorgeous cards anyway onto my card i have poppy i simply printed it out on to some text and graphic paper glued the base on to an 8 x 8 card blank and layered the peices with foam pads and some pearls to finish it off you can find the kit tend to post mostly on the pink gem designs face book page these days as i like the social interaction any way just thought i would show some of the printable topper card fronts i have been designing these are great when you need a card quickly and of course you can add more embellies if you wish lol the kit prints out a topper that will fit an 8 x 8 card blank and as you can see the display picture on the website doesn t do justice to the actual print as the colours are beautiful you can resize it in a graphics programme to make it smaller you can fin the kit and some others here in our decoupage printable kit which went on sale yesterday if you want to make a card quickly or you have just started to make cards and you don t have a lot of equipment then this kit will come in handy all you need is some scissors glue and foam pads and a printer of course it s ready to print on 2 a4 sheets and it makes a topper for an 8 x 8 card blank but it can be made smaller in any graphic postings lately but i seem to spend more time on face book these days we have a pink gem designs fb page here and also a group for pink gem designs dt friends here i have not been making many cards of late in between digi designing i have been doing a little bit of knitting and crochet it s my new love at the moment i have been knitting 50 years on and off and now i have learnt to do a bit of crochet lots to learn though ha ha i do love how it grows so quickly compared to knitting though i have opened a little etsy shop to sell on some things as there is only so many hats the grandchildren over at a gem of a challenge today we have some blog changing news for you as from this week we are going back to a two weekly challenge with 2 teams pinks gems the sad news is ria has decided to step by clare for the cross stitch cowl here clare s tutorials are amazing and i have easily learned how to crochet by watching them on my ipad and crocheting along with her you can freeze it or wind back if you miss something or make a mistake i have tried to crochet a few times over the years without any success good quality hooks with handles have also made a big difference to my achievments email with my christmas card making so i have been making some easy printables with my images and papers today here is bella with candy and you can see the card i made with the printable sheet which took me about 20 minutes to cut out and assemble it prints onto an a4 sheet and fits nicley onto a 6 card blank like the one i have used i layered the pieces with foam pads and then threw on some glamour dust
