paulinescountrytales paulinescountrytales just a country girl kicking around the dirt roads taking pictures of trees gates animals cactus and anything else that strikes my un fancy mind you are welcome to take a look and come back if you like this way to my blog thursday september 17 2020 miss everyone i m in the hospital miss everyone posted by paula at 7 50 pm 13 comments wednesday june 5 2019 i was surprised to see any comments after so long a time i miss everyone but i m swamped john has dementia can see and hear very little everything is up to me even though i have my own health problems i have mds a blood disease stage three kidney disease and tests show i have pulmonary hypertinsion but don t have the symtems john sleeps a lot but likes for me to take him for drives on country roads so we do that most every day i m taking procrit injections in the stomach every other week to try to keep my blood counts up so far it has helped but they are never where they should be in spite of everything the lord has been good to us things could be worse lisa the hospital i wrote about is in poteet texas so it was just called poteet hospital it is just north of us and is the strawberry capital of texas posted by paula at 9 42 pm 10 comments monday june 3 2019 want to buy hospital want to buy a hospital only 25 000 roof and floor is bad but basement okay the memories can not be taken away i remember my aunt working there in her polished white shoes and starched cap must have been the 40 s the doctor who came out to the country to deliver me in 1936 had an office in there i wonder if he owned that hospital we never went to doctors or dentist don t know if it was because we were poor or if mama and daddy thought kids didn t need to go probably a little of both however i did go one time but we had to wait so long because the doctor was out probably delivering a baby we went home and mama finally got the rash on my hand cleared up while waiting my mama struck up a conversation with the woman sitting next to her the woman chose to tell why she was there seems one of her children had worms she took a paper out of her purse and opened it to expose a little worm she had brought to show the doctor with hopes he could prescribe something for her child when we left she was still waiting a few years ago i was walking in the local cemetary and ran upon this doctor s grave the lady who was his right hand nurse i always thought was his wife was not buried next to him and neither was anyone else i must see if i can research about him and this hospital posted by paula at 9 30 pm 6 comments monday june 25 2018 if your boat don t float if your boat don t float just park it and plant cactus in it posted by paula at 10 11 am 9 comments saturday june 23 2018 john has gone from raising cattle to raising cats his favorite cat pet presented him with two part siamese kittens this morning posted by paula at 11 59 am 5 comments thursday june 21 2018 missing my babies this is a serious talk i m not sure if this is a girl or boy but i know i can tell it my secrets and they won t go any farther posted by paula at 11 06 pm 5 comments wednesday june 20 2018 happy grazing it s happy grazing we ve had showers the last few days and don t even have the air conditioner on it s great after being so hot and dry posted by paula at 8 16 pm 7 comments older posts home subscribe to posts atom simple theme powered by blogger
