hanson epics hanson epics cause life is sweet just as it is friday march 25 2011 renewed focus i loved being with you yesterday i loved watching 5 kites flying high and knowing there was a kiddo at the end of each line i smiled watching you lay down and hearing elisabeth yell flying a kite is really hard work as she laid on her side with one leg propped over the other i tried so many times to get simon s kite to stay in the air like all the others but i handed him the handle and he handled the kite and the wind better than i did he figured things out sooner that i had it was delightful to look back and see jona laying on his back with his knees up while his batman kite flew high and steady i loved watching mary bring her kite in and down only to start it flying on her own i had helped her the time before it was sad to see beka s kite not work but enchanting to hear jona say beka you can fly my batman kite and off to the slides he went i loved watching other people enjoy watching the kite flying as well there s something magical and mystical when a kite is flying i wonder what it is does it remind us that all is right in the world that life is pleasant or does it represent the innocence of childhood and we adults like to recapture it again we had a few mishaps of lines snagging in trees or wrapped around another kite but we managed to get them untangled without damage or much distress there were times you got frustrated with someone else because their kite was getting too close to yours and you definately let them know it i had to blow it out a few times and remember that if it were my kite i d probably be saying the same thing all in all it was a delightful day to be out with you thank you for setting up the blanket the fruit and keeping an eye on andrew i love you all very much mom posted by parvum gaudia at 11 37 am 3 comments older posts home subscribe to posts atom blog archive 2011 1 march 1 renewed focus 2010 2 december 1 september 1 2008 5 august 1 july 1 may 2 april 1 simple theme powered by blogger
