mountain lion family visits lab valley one morning near the middle of last september shyla and i started our morning walk together because shyla couldn t walk very well i had her on a leash even though our walk was in the meadow by our house in the first minute i looked toward the creek and i saw a mountain lion watching us from the willows my first reaction was that i had to get shyla back in the house asap because she was so vulnerable fortunately the mountain lion was sitting near a dead elk and had zero interest in chasing us down we made it back to the safety of the house we d seen four sets of eyes in that spot the previous night so i was certain that it was our local mountain lion family this first video includes just one kitten later ones will show more than one lion posted
