running with glitter pages saturday september 26 2015 running with glitter is running on my 35th birthday i decided to change i was tired of being tired tired of being asked when my baby was due mad at myself for gaining over 50 pounds in two years i want to be on this beautiful earth for many more years i want to celebrate life then something happened the tomorrow i always say that i will start actually came one foot in front of the other i ll run three mail boxes then walk two i will run to the light post and walk that is how this addiction started what started as cheap exercise and a way to get healthy has become something that i love somedays it seem impossible somedays it is effortless for years i have said this year i will run a 5k but never in my wildest dreams would this girl be facebook share to pinterest tuesday april 2 2013 personalized tea coffee mug tutorial today i m going to share with you a super cute and easy gift idea browsing michaels armed with a 50 off coupon i found these blank photo mugs they were 10 00 but my coupon made them 5 00 i have made a couple of trips this week the wheels began to turn then i spotted amy butler paper squeal amy butler is truly my favorite fabric designer and now this obviously this has been in the store a while because when i went to check out the butler paper pack rang up 3 99 shocking i m not a scrapbooker so i m not familiar with paper but i m familiar with the brand and know i got a smokin deal i right then decided that this paper was meant for this cup project problem solved i came up with a personalized coffee tea mug a couple of my girl friends have birthdays soon and they would drool over this paper these mugs will make perfect gifts for them here is how i made them first find a good quality travel mug this one is a michaels brand mug it feels nice and heavy and seals up nice and tight i m sure you can find these at about any craft supply store unscrew your cup and clean it then remove the fake family photo that was in the cup trace it on the back side of your paper i use a pencil so i don t have any pen marks on my paper slip the paper you just cut out inside the cup and make sure it fits perfect this mug would be pretty if i just stopped right here but decorate and personalize it i must i used my silhouette sd to cut a frame and my name from the coordinating yes i bought one for myself too i love it that much papers if you do not have a die cut machine you can always just cut out a shape with scalloped edged scissors and use letter stickers for the name have you seen the stickers at hobby lobby so many possibilities it will be just as cute i promise glue your frame and all your pieces to your main paper directly in the middle this is somewhat how your paper should look like too easy peasy right roll your paper back up inside the cup slip the cup back together and screw it together tight like popeye the sailorman and enjoy i m making a few other little things to pinterest labels gift ideas stuff i have made tutorial friday march 22 2013 chalk board easter bucket i m going to share with you how to make these beautiful chalkboard personalized easter buckets the cool thing about these is that they can be used long after easter just turn the rabbit side around and place it on a shelf so you can use the chalkboard to label what is inside i truly love these and think i will make a few more for storage in my daughter s room here is how they are made supplies needed metal bucket paint brush painters tape mod podge matte scrap book paper fine sand paper i found these metal buckets at hobby lobby for 50 off most craft stores sell metal buckets unpainted if yours is unpainted you can just spray paint it the color of your chioce first you need to prep your bucket for the chalkboard paint tape off a rectangle with your painters tape i used the sticker decal that came on the bucket as my guide to tape off the area for the chalk board lightly sand your area so the paint will adhere dust off apply as many coats of the paint as needed to cover the area completely it took me 5 carefully remove painters tape let dry overnight time to make your rabbit cut out an oval and a rabbit silhouette here is the rabbit silhouette i used it is a free download for the name you can cut it with your die cutter or add letter stickers start mod podging the decal together mod podge rabbit to oval then mod podge name to the rabbit again mod podge over the entire decal now to seal it all together then add a layer of mod podge to the bucket it is okay that the mod podge is not perfect it cleans off easily with a damp rag how many times can i say mod podge place your decal on the bucket and smooth it out making sure it totally adheres to the bucket bubble scavenger hunt on christmas eve our elf elfis is going to fly back to the north pole for his final report to santa when the kids tell him goodbye for the last time our elf will have a special clue scavenger hunt game for them to play at the end of the game there is a special gift that he has left behind for them my husband will handwrite each of the clues on official north pole note cards and
