ryan cynthia family wednesday may 20 2015 payson temple open house 2015 being utah we are blessed to be surrounded by so many temples we have taken the kids to many of the temples around us and often times walked the grounds but they have never been inside any of the temples because they are too young to have a temple recommend many temples have been built over the past 10 years here in utah but we never seemed to make it work to go to the open houses until this past month the payson temple open house was this month and i really wanted them to have the opportunity to go inside see how beautiful they are and to feel the spirit there my favorite part was walking through the different rooms from the baptismal font to the sealing room and being able to talk about why we love temples and what makes them so special i am so glad that we were able to make it happen and spend the afternoon at the temple families are forever posted by ryan cynthia clan at 7 55 pm no comments monday april 27 2015 finley birthday 2015 finley had a birthday and has officially left single digits in the dust i love this kid through and through we had a busy day with soccer games symphony tickets lunch at siegfried s checked out the japanese festival downtown and finished with presents at home berlin was sweet and took her money to the book fair at school and bought him some birthday presents they were some cute bookmarks and things i was touched at how she did this all on her own as a surprise for him love this kid posted by ryan cynthia clan at 10 10 pm no comments friday april 24 2015 4th grade rendezvous 2015 in 4th grade students learn all about utah to end a year full of utah history recreation sports culture and more the 4th graders get to have a mountain man rendezvous they kids all dress up as the character from their oral report and they get to play games shop at the trading post throw axes make crafts and eat dutch oven food finley s report was on osborne russell who was a trapper and mountain man who wrote about like in the rocky mountains here are some fun pictures from the day glad that i took work off to help out at the trading post and with cleanup the best part of the day was when finley ran up to me all excited because he was the only one in his group that threw the ax into the tree and it stuck a true mountain man if you ask me this above to this below in 60 seconds we need to work on arm strength he fell so hard his pants started coming off finn was loving this guy below he has a powder horn just like the one the mountain man had and was excited to show him posted by ryan cynthia clan at 8 06 pm no comments monday april 6 2015 easter 2015 this easter was pretty fun with the kids i really had to amp my clues that they use to find their basket this year we also decided to get them some new hamsters penny and lawn died last year after a long life of 2 years however the kids really wanted to get some new hamsters and i had repeatedly told them no but it felt like the time was right so ryan picked them up saturday afternoon while i assembled their home once again the hamsters were hidden in the master bathtub the clues took them everywhere in the house leading up to the last one that lead to the hamsters finley opened the shower curtain and just stared at them for a second then berlin screamed and the reality sunk in they were so excited meet zelda and hazel spring break was a bit lackluster and it seemed really short this year they only had a friday and a mon tuesday off so not really a full week they kicked off break by building a fort a large one that lasted all week long they camped out in it every night played in it read books in it watched movies it was fun here is berlin with her friends at the neighborhood
